Dave Takes On The Renaissance Hollywood
Hotel January 7 For Its New Indie Thursday Showcase
Award-winning singer, songwriter, and keyboardist Dave Schulz is kicking off 2010 with powerful performances across the Los Angeles area. He starts things off at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel for its indie artist showcase on Thursday, January 7 at 9 p.m. There is no cover and all ages are welcome.
Then on Friday, January 15, Dave returns to the stage at the acclaimed music venue, The Mint, for a headlining performance at 11 p.m. Audiences are in for a special treat as Dave will perform tracks from his solo debut album Connect, followed by a bonus session of his acclaimed soul/funk sounds for fans to get down to during his ‘Unofficial NAMM Jam.’
Formerly a touring/recording vocalist and keyboardist for superstars, such as Goo Goo Dolls, Bo Diddley, English Beat, Fuel, Berlin and The Rembrandts, Dave has stepped back into the music spotlight as a solo artist with his debut album, Connect.
Dave will perform on his first solo artist tour, slated for winter 2010, which will include shows in cities on the west coast such as San Francisco, Sacramento, San Luis Obispo, San Diego and Santa Barbara.
The music industry is taking notice of Dave’s dynamic talent, landing him on Music Connection’s Hot 100 Unsigned Artists of 2009 list. He also earned a nomination for a Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA) in the Adult Contemporary/AAA category for his new single “Stray” from his album, Connect.
Additionally, Dave was spotlighted in the November 2009 issue of Keyboard Magazine and was recently highlighted on Playboy.com’s The Spot , for their L.A. nightlife section, where David shared his thoughts on a few of his favorite local hangouts.

The HMMA’s will take place on Thursday, November 19 at The Highlands in the Kodak Theatre complex in Hollywood. The red carpet event will feature live performances of today’s top indie artists from around the world, an awards ceremony, plus a catered VIP reception by renowned chef Wolfgang Puck.

WHO: Indie pop/rock singer, songwriter and keyboardist Dave Schulz (www.daveschulzmusic.com) heads back to the The Mint L.A. for an encore performance of his solo debut album, Connect. Dave engaged the crowd with his energetic vocals and keyboard riffs in pop/rock ballads such as “Perfect Day” and “Everything” at his CD release performance last month. For the past decade, Dave has been a touring/recording vocalist and keyboardist for superstars including Goo Goo Dolls, Bo Diddley, English Beat, Fuel, Berlin, and The Rembrandts. His talents have also earned him accolades including a win for Best Keyboardist of the Year (2006 All Access Music Awards) and a nomination for Male Vocalist of the Year (2005 Los Angeles Music Awards). Dave recently made an appearance on FOX’s Strategy Room for a live performance and to discuss latest topics related to the entertainment industry.
What: Dave Schulz is set to perform the Connect album in its entirety along with a live audience-interactive music video shoot to his first single “Everything” at The Mint in Los Angeles on July 24 at 10PM. Dave’s part-time band “The Smart Set” will also join him on stage along with special guest Drew Broadrick.
