Joanna Mosca, a native of Westchester, N.Y., returns home for a special one-time performance in front of her home town crowd in nearby Pawling, N.Y., on Saturday, September 25 at the esteemed Towne Crier Café.     

Joanna, whose mantra like her debut album title is Keep on Going, just finished an extensive 30-city national radio tour where she performed live on radio stations to support her hit singles “Keep on Going” and “Love Me Like I’m Leaving.”   

Joanna who has spent much of the last year on the road is excited to play in front of her hometown audience.  Mosca is joined by famed jazz guitarist Leni Stern, on the co-bill which begins at 8:30 p.m. and will include a CD signing after her performance. Joanna is riding a wave of accomplishments as one of the premier independently released artists in the country. Mosca has received critical acclaim for her debut album Keep on Going. She was voted as one of the Top 100 Unsigned Artists in America by Music Connection magazine for 2009. Joanna has released two singles off her debut album. Her first single, “Keep on Going” recently cracked the Top 30 on the Adult Contemporary/ Mediabase and R&R charts, earning her the distinction of being one of only two Independent artists to do so and placing her in the ranks of prominent pop artists like Ke$ha, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Pink and Lady GaGa. Her latest single “Love me Like I’m Leaving” is currently being played by more than 80 national stations and is rocketing up the Country and AC charts.

To celebrate the success of “Keep on Going,” her indie label Dolce Diva Music launched an iPad giveaway for Mosca’s fans and recently announced Shakeia Rioux from La Habra, Calif., as the lucky winner. The singer also recently launched an iPhone app including music, links and the latest information on her career happenings.

Joanna’s performances are backed by Sennheiser USA, the powerful Connecticut-based company, known for their high-end microphones who recently signed her. Sennheiser is also affiliated with noteworthy organizations such as the House of Blues and The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tenn.

New York based recording artist Joanna Mosca, who has been taking country airwaves by storm with the title track from her recently released debut album Keep On Going, will join fellow recording artist Michael Fredo for “Jazz and Cocktails” on May 19 at the world renowned Plaza Hotel in New York City. Joanna will join Michael on stage for a special performance of “Where Does Good Love Go,” a duet they recorded for Joanna’s album. Admission begins at 8:30 p.m. and the show at 10 p.m.

Joanna recently wrapped-up a tour of country radio stations in support of “Keep On Going” and received raved remarks from the DJ’s and Program Directors.

Rick Wesley of WKDO in Liberty, Ky., said, “Joanna has great potential and talent. She has a very distinctive voice. I hope to hear more from her in the future,” while Kip Jervis and Cathy Hall of WEZJ in Williamsburg, Ky., thought “Joanna was great! One of our best live interviews ever! Produced by Jay Levine (who helmed nine of the album’s ten tracks), the autobiographical song “Keep On Going” serves as a mantra for her life even as it inspires people to think beyond their circumstances, during these difficult times.  

Joanna, who was honored by Music Connection magazine as one of the Hot 100 Unsigned Artists of 2009, collaborated on two songs with Jeremy Spillman, who has penned tracks for country superstars Trace Adkins, Trisha Yearwood and Josh Turner, and earned an Oscar nomination for co-writing “I Will Never Let You Go” with Gustavo Santaolalla for the Brokeback Mountain soundtrack. Keep On Going also includes “Learn To Swim,” a track written by Troy Verges (Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Celine Dion, Carrie Underwood).

To celebrate the greatly anticipated release, Joanna makes a return appearance at the Best Buy store in Manhattan on December 16 at 4 p.m. as a part of the Live at Best Buy series where she will perform songs from Keep On Going. The major retailer’s live music series is located on the corner of 14th Street and 4th Avenue. Prior to the show, Joanna will get glam by the make-up professionals at the MAC Pro Store.

Following her Best Buy Live appearance, Joanna will head to Union Square Lounge (30 West 16th St.) for a private album release party from 6-9 p.m.

Joanna recently enjoyed a stay in the Top Ten on the FMQB AC Chart with her hit single “Keep On Going,” making it’s way to #6, ahead of Miley Cyrus and Kelly Clarkson and just behind Colbie Callait and Taylor Swift.

Keep On Going features songs co-written with composers who have penned hits for numerous country artists, including Martina McBride and Rascal Flatts. She has also collaborated on the project with Grammy Award winning producers Tyrone Corbett and Robert Donzella, who have collectively worked with several American Idol artists signed to J Records and Wyclef Jean’s label. Corbett’s studio and touring credits also include R&B singer Will Downing, urban jazz greats Gerald Albright and Norman Brown, and folk legend Pete Seeger.

Joanna also collaborated with established songwriter/producer Jeremy Spillman, who has worked with country star Trisha Yearwood among others, to record a few tracks in Nashville for the highly anticipated album.
