The multi-talented performer, who recently inked a deal with new London-based label EC3 Records, headed by veteran rock producer Dito Godwin, kicks off his stint November 7 at Craufurd Arms, Milton Keynes inWolverton and along the way will perform throughout England, including The Boulevard in Wigan (November 14); Raine Club in Hull (November 15); Yardbirds Club in East Lincolnshire (November 20); The Leopard inDoncaster (November 21); The Diamond in Nottinghamshire (November 25); The New Roscoe in Leeds, West Yorkshire (November 27); Queens Hall in Nuneaton, Warwickshire (November 28) and at Robin 2 inWolverhampton (November 29).

As recently reported by Hollywood Reporter, Bolan obtained 144 copyrights connected to T-Rex’s catalog, including those on the album Electric Warriorlike the iconic global smash “Get It On (Bang A Gong).”

In July 2013, Bolan sued publisher Westminster Music Ltd. for ownership, on the basis that rights revert to an author’s heirs when the author dies during the initial copyright term. The case received a large boost when the U.S. Supreme Court earlier this year addressed another reversion case – involving the classic film “Raging Bull” - and limited the application of laches (a defense based upon the prejudicial effect of a plaintiff’s delayed filing) in intellectual property cases. The parties then worked out a settlement with the result leading to the return of copyrights to the Bolan family.

Bolan, whose mother is Grammy nominated Motown songwriter Gloria Jones, recently picked up a 2014 Hollywood Music In Media Award (HMMA)nomination for his rendition of the song “Children of the Revolution.” The song, originally written and recorded by his father, was released in 1972. Bolan and his fellow nominees will be honored at the award show held at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood November 4, 2014.

In 2013, Rolan won an HMMA in the Alternative category for his single “Trust.”

Rolan and other nominees will be honored at the award show held at the Fonda Theater inHollywood on November 4, 2014. The HMMAs honor music from visual mediums, individuals who create and produce it, and both mainstream and independent musicians from around the world.

In 2013, Rolan won an HMMA in the Alternative category for his single “Trust.”

In other news, the emerging artist recently inked a deal with new London-based label EC3 Records, headed up by veteran rock producer Dito Godwin. The multi-platinum producer’s resume includes sessions with an enviable slate of artists: No Doubt; Motley Crue; KISSmembers Ace Frehley and Peter Criss; Jack Russell and Great White; late Warrant frontmanJani Lane; and country music legend Charley Pride.

Slated to release his debut album worldwide and tour in the U.K. later this year, Rolan is the third artist to be signed to Godwin’s label.

Rolan, who thinks Interview Magazine was spot on when they described his “laid back with a kick” vibe as “Pina Colada Gasoline,” previously released several singles to iTunes in recent months, including “Should I Forget To Mention,” “Once In My Life”, “Up To Me,” and “Trust” which won a Hollywood Music In Media Award (HMMA) for best Alternative Song. There are also YouTube videos available of earlier tracks Rolan recorded, including “Fire In The City” and“Missing Me.”

Rolan formed and fronted his first band, The Brothers Bounce, in 1998 with friends from Loyola Marymount University. The group, which toured the U.K. and France, included members of theBlack Eyed Peas’ first backing band. The singer later toured as a duo with Kyle Mullarkey of the band The Shore.

There are also YouTube videos available of earlier tracks Rolan recorded, including “Fire In The City” and “Missing Me.”

Rolan formed and fronted his first band, The Brothers Bounce, in 1998 with friends from Loyola Marymount University. The group, which toured the U.K. and France, included members of the Black Eyed Peas’ first backing band. The singer later toured as a duo with Kyle Mullarkey of the band The Shore.

Godwin, a multi-talented award-winning producer, brings an open-minded, progressive aesthetic to his new endeavor, which he is launching with London businessman Martin Quick. The company, named for the postal code for the financial district where their office is located, has a distribution deal with Bungalo/Universal.

EMERGING SINGER/SONGWRITER ROLAN BOLAN
RELEASES NEW HMMA NOMINATED SINGLE ‘TRUST’ TO
iTUNES AND LAUNCHES OFFICIAL WEBSITE

LOS ANGELES – At last bringing his indie “laid back with a kick” vibe to the mainstream, Rolan Bolan—whose music was described by Interview Magazine as “Pina Colada Gasoline”—is releasing his debut single “Trust” to iTunes and other major digital retailers via Electric Boogie Inc.

The timing of these releases coincides with the highly-anticipated launch of his official website, www.theofficialrolanbolan.com.

Rolan, son of the late T-Rex frontman and glam-rock legend Marc Bolan and singer and Grammy nominated Motown songwriter Gloria Jones, recently received his first Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) nomination for “Trust” in the “Best Alternative Song” category.

Scheduled for Thursday, November 21, 2013 at The Fonda Theater in Hollywood, the HMMAs honor music from visual mediums, individuals who create and produce it, and both mainstream and independent musicians from around the globe.

The Los Angeles based singer-songwriter, whose debut album Electric Sunset (featuring “Trust”) was produced by veteran producer Dito Godwin (No Doubt, KISS, Motley Crue) and is a personal journey through Bolan’s life, recently received a spotlight in the online publication Broken Records Magazine.

Rolan has also signed on for a college radio campaign launching this fall helmed by Howard Rosen Promotions.

Rolan and Godwin have taken an extraordinary step (for a new artist) in recording electric and acoustic versions of Electric Sunset, with Bolan getting out and playing acoustic shows with Godwin’s son Bernie and ultimately forming a band to play the electric versions live. Thus far, Rolan and Bernie Godwin have done several performances in L.A., including one at Footsies in Highland Park for a DJ Modern Kicks and Ghetto Blasters Presents event.

Rolan’s passion for eclectic music serves him well as host of the internet radio show whose name, “The Electric Boogie Lounge: Live From The PuNP House,” draws inspiration from his father’s well known song “Electric Boogie.” The host station, Transcend Pop Culture Radio, is an offshoot of Transcendental Music (TMusic), the premier charity record label founded by filmmaker David Lynch—which draws on its connections to the music community in an effort to raise funds for the David Lynch Foundation’s six charitable programs. The proceeds from Rolan’s show benefit inner city kids.
