Steve-O asks popular Governor for pardon
for things he is ‘ about ‘ to do in California

The Wildboyz were on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno promoting their popular MTV show when they met California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger who was also a guest celebrating his one year anniversary of when he announced his bid for California’s highest office to Leno. Steve-O, who is also promoting his Don’t Try This At Home Tour and new Steve-O: The Early Years DVD , pulled the Governor aside and asked for a pardon for things he is “about” to do in California. Schwarzenegger smiled and was whisked away by security personnel before he could answer.

STEVE-O TO HOST MTV VMA POST-SHOW BASH AT NERVE LOUNGE, MIAMI BEACH, AUG. 29
Party celebrates MTV’s Wildboyz / Jackass star’s fourth DVD release, Don’t Try This At Home Presents Steve-O: The Early Years

Celeb Blow-out also gives props to Steve-O’s Rap Music debut with DJ Whoo Kid
and The Game on G Unit Radio Pt. 8 – The Wildboys Mixtape

If you want to party like a rockstar, hang out with a Wildboy. Action sport hero extraordinaire Steve-O is hosting an MTV VMA post-show bash – emphasis on bash – at Nerve Lounge, Miami Beach, Aug. 29. All music video stars, movie stars and supermodels in town for the VMAs will be on the VIP guest list and tickets will be available at the door for the usual music industry “sharks” and the general public.

MTV’s Wildboyz and Jackass star is also using the occasion to officially celebrate the Aug. 24 release of his fourth DVD, Don’t Try This At Home Presents Steve-O: The Early Years . Not to mention his Rap Music debut on the hot Wildboys Mixtape with DJ Whoo Kid and The Game on G Unit Radio Pt. 8.

Antics, shenanigans, mischief and all manner of tom foolery are certain to ensue during this non-MTV-sanctioned VMA post-show extravaganza, so expect the unexpected; with Steve-O, you just never know. A re-enactment of an Early Years stunt, perhaps? Or maybe a Wildboyz exploit to mark the upcoming third season of MTV’s high-risk, big laughs answer to Wild Kingdom ?

Steve-O: The Early Years is aptly subtitled “How Dangerous and Irresponsible Behavior Can Lead to Fame and Fortune,” but at his MTV VMA post-show revelry, it will be more like, “How Fame and Fortune Can Lead to Dangerous and Irresponsible Behavior.” Witness this converse correlation in motion, and be amazed. Be very amazed.

The Nerve Lounge is located at 247 23 rd Street in Miami, FL. The club is open from 10 PM to 5 AM. Contact at club is Tracie at 305-695-8697.

About The “Don’t Try This At Home” Tour:
Don’t Try This At Home: The World Tour kicked off in January 2003 and continues to sell out venues around the globe. From the USA, UK, Canada, to Sweden and soon Australia, Steve-O and company demonstrate their own brand of unique performance art on stage night after night. Billed as “35% Stand Up, 35% Stunts, 30% Improv but always 100% Original” no one, not even Glover himself, is ever sure what to expect of the show. “My stage show is genuinely a horrifying display of alcoholism and self-mutilation,” he tips off, but clarifies, “I lead a double life with the MTV mainstream programming and explicit DVDs.”

About The Don’t Try This At Home Video Series:

With Volumes 1, 2 & 3 certified double platinum in The United States, Canada and other countries, the series is a smash hit around the globe. The Steve-O Video Vol. III: Out On Bail the third Don’t Try This At Home release quickly became one of North America’s best selling non-theatrical DVD releases of the last year and the focal point of more controversy upon hitting stores in November, 2003. The two disc set is comprised of footage captured on tape during recent irreverent tours. Steve-O himself calls it the “Too Hot To Exist Video”.

We laugh with, at and about this “Houdini of Hilarity,” but we can’t help but wonder: how did he get this way? Was he born a “professional idiot”? Or is he merely a product of the short bus? These and a zillion other questions about this human curiosity are addressed when Don’t Try This At Home Presents Steve-O: The Early Years, on DVD and VHS, unleashed on August 24th by Red/Sony Music Distribution.

About JACKASS:
This series is considered a cultural phenomena and in its short life became one of the highest rated television programs in the history of MTV. In 2002, Jackass went to the big screen and became one of the top grossing movies of 2002, earning over $22 million dollars in North America theatres in its first weekend alone, and grossing over $100 worldwide. The show’s unique and perverse style of humor and zany antics is what has helped make it an institution across North America.

About WILDBOYZ:
Steve-O and Chris Pontius from “Jackass” star in this half-hour reality show that will find them in exotic locales as they attempt to embrace local customs, native inhabitants, and indigenous animal species in a manner that should prove both educational and entertaining. Through hands-on involvement with professional naturalists Steve-O and Chris Pontius will discover just how far off the evolutionary mark they may be. Watch Wildboyz on the Sunday night Stew on MTV, with season three to debut this September.

Surrounded by rank and file conformity, the unique combination of random stupidity and calculated inspiration that drives Steve-O represents something truly original.
