Detroit’s Susan Calloway will be giving a local performance at AJ’s Music Café in Ferndale, MI on Saturday, May 1. There you can catch your musical dose of the songstress as she will perform songs off her EP, Chasin The Sun, along with fan favorite tracks “Living To Live” and “Don’t Fall In Love.” Tune in that same morning to Detroit’s ABC 7 for the station’s 8 a.m. segment, as Calloway will give a live TV performance and interview in support of the show at AJ’s.
On Thursday, May 6 Susan will live chat on the hip social site Justin.TV at 1:30 p.m. PST to adoring fans and newcomers to talk about the Chasin The Sun project. Already the winner of twelve Detroit Music Awards in her hometown of the Motor City, singer-songwriter Susan Calloway keeps “Chasin The Sun”—and now finds herself in superstar company as the first single and title track from her debut EP hits the Radio and Records’ (R&R) Top 40 Indicator Chart at #39.
Among the artists on the chart this week are Rihanna, Lifehouse, Uncle Kracker, John Mayer, Ludacris, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift, Lady GaGa, Lady Antebellum and Adam Lambert.
“Chasin The Sun” is also currently gaining momentum at Hot AC radio, Pandora.com, and a number of other internet stations. The EP Chasing The Sun was produced by another Detroit-rock-city native, Gerard Smerek, who has mixed, engineered, and produced projects for artists such as Anita Baker, Aretha Franklin, Bob Seger, R. Kelly and Kid Rock.
Calloway’s chase takes her next week to South By Southwest (SXSW), where she will perform at the Sennheiser Speakeasy Rooftop Party.
The event takes place the evening of Thursday, March 18 at the Speakeasy, located at 412 Congress Avenue at 4th Street in downtown Austin. The party will be jammed pack with today’s leading industry music supervisors.

Susan takes on 2010 South By Southwest(SXSW) music festival in Austin as she was selected to perform at Sennheiser’s SXSW Speakeasy Roof Top Party, located on 4th Street, the evening of Thursday, March 18. The Sennheiser event will be packed with industry leading music supervisors, giving a chance for the artists whom are performing to have their highlighted songs placed in national film and television spots.
