Las Vegas rising rockers Theory of Flight (www.theoryofflightmusic.com) was recently nominated for Hollywood Music in Media Awards, a.k.a the HMMA’s   (www.hmmawards.com) for Best Rock category for their up tempo, screaming-to-be-a-future Billboard Top 100 hit, “Can’t You See.” The HMMA will take place on Thursday, November 19 at The Highlands in the Kodak Theatre complex in Hollywood, CA. The red carpet event will feature live performances of today’s top indie artists from around the world, an award ceremony plus a catered VIP reception by renowned chef Wolfgang Puck. Track number eight off the band’s highly anticipated debut album Within Reach, “Can’t You See” is an intense song about a lover that is losing the one they want, therefore, they divulge their profound feelings before the relationship is completely lost.

To put icing on the HMMA nomination cake, concurrently the band is pleased to announce they have reached more than one million views on their MySpace page, www.myspace.com/theoryofflight702.  New music off the Within Reach album, slated to release fall 2009, was added and within two days had gained 5,000 plays.

After the success with the band’s 2008 EP, A Brilliant Display, the band joined forces with Grammy nominated Los Angeles sound engineer and producer Mark Needham (The Killers, Fleetwood Mac and Chris Isaak) to help mix the 12 track debut album. On September 4 at Noon PST, Theory of Flight will exclusively release their new music video and first single “Set the Night on Fire” on their website www.theoryofflightmusic.com.   Faithful and future fans will also get a chance to check out the band perform live at their day-long Within Reach record release event taking place on Saturday, October 17 at the Town Square Las Vegas (www.townsquarelasvegas.com).  More details to be announced soon.
