DEBUT SINGLE KEEPS STAR STUDDED
COMPANY WITH ITS DEBUT ON RADIO
AND RECORDS’ TOP 40 INDICATOR CHART 

           
Already the winner of twelve Detroit Music Awards in her hometown of the Motor City, singer-songwriter Susan Calloway ^[1] keeps “Chasin The Sun ^[2]”—and now finds herself in superstar company as the first single and title track from her debut EP hits the Radio and Records’ (R&R) Top 40 Indicator Chart at #39.
            
Among the artists on the chart this week are Rihanna, Lifehouse, Uncle Kracker, John Mayer, Ludacris, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift, Lady GaGa, Lady Antebellum and Adam Lambert.
 
“Chasin The Sun” is also currently gaining momentum at Hot AC radio, Pandora.com, and a number of other internet stations. The EP Chasing The Sun was produced by another Detroit-rock-city native, Gerard Smerek, who has mixed, engineered, and produced projects for artists such as Anita Baker, Aretha Franklin, Bob Seger, R. Kelly and Kid Rock.
            
Calloway’s chase takes her next week to South By Southwest (SXSW), where she will perform at the Sennheiser Speakeasy Rooftop Party.
 
The event takes place the evening of Thursday, March 18 at the Speakeasy, located at 412 Congress Avenue at 4th Street in downtown Austin. The party will be jammed pack with today’s leading industry music supervisors.
            
On Friday, March 26, the singer will appear on FOX 2 Detroit’s 9 a.m. morning show, where she will give an acoustic performance and be interviewed about her new EP project and experiences while showcasing at SXSW. For more information: www.myfoxdetroit.com ^[3].
