UE’s mission statement for the campaign was, “Made For the World’s Best Musician And For You.” The soundtrack for the commercial UE used WAT’s single “Youth II.”

The UE commercial comes in just weeks after WAT was featured on another soundtrack for blockbuster German film Kokowääh, which sold over 1 million tickets opening weekend. The band’s track “Snowflakes,” that initially debuted on CW’s hit TV show Gossip Girl, was featured in the director debuted film by one of Germany’s star actors, Til Schweiger (Inglorious Bastards, Three Musketeers). The single peaked at #11 on the iTunes Deutschland(Germany)Singles chart, beating out radio favorites Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and Black Eyed Peas. In addition, the film’s soundtrack skyrocketed to #3 its first week on iTunes Deutschland Soundtracks chart and broke into the Top 10 list on Amazon Germany Soundtracks chart.

Continuing on with their overseas and commercial success, WAT recently showcased with major rockers The Sounds and Berlin. KROQ reviewed the rockers as, “…The Gromble even cooler especially since they’re perfected a modernized version of Weezer’s wry, crunchy pop angst, The Pixies’ quirky, angular guitars, and Pavements’ acerbic noise pop with a dash of Elvis Costello sophistication.” The Gromble, who consist of Spencer Askin(vocals, guitar), Trevin Eck(bassist), Steven Lindenfelser(lead guitar) Michael Lee(keyboards) and Stefan Macarewich(drums) also stated in the interview the amazing feeling of being nominated for “Best New Artist” at the 10th Anniversary 2011 OC Music Awards, after releasing their singles “Toto,” “NYC Frog,” and fan favorite “Creepy Crawly.” The tracks sparked the interest of 37 Records’ President Steven McClintock who decided to push the boys’ upcoming album slated for late 2011.

INDIE PUBLISHER 37 SONGS/MCJAMES MUSIC INC.
ANNOUNCES THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED RETURN
OF VOCALIST CARAH FAYE TO SHINY TOY GUNS
***
‘Together Again’
The ‘Queen Of The Guns’
Beloved Lead Singer Carah Faye
Returns To Shiny Toy Guns For
The Electo-Rock Reunion Of The Decade

In keeping with the age old adage, ‘things being better the second time around,’ Los Angeles based Grammy nominated electro-rock pioneers, Shiny Toy Guns (STG) is looking towards a bright new future, now that original singer Carah Faye has rejoined the group after a 2 1/2 year hiatus. STG, along with their publishers 37 Songs/McJames Music Inc., recently announced they couldn’t be more excited about their reunion with Faye, so in homage to that the band placed a shocking 30-day countdown clock running on their website boasting to their die-hard fans the return of their beloved female singer reuniting with members Jeremy Dawson (keyboardist/producer/programmer), Chad Petree (producer/lead vocalist/guitars/programmer), Mikey Martin (drums/ percussion) and introducing multi-instrumentalist Daniel Johansson (producer/keyboardist/programmer).

37 Song/McJames Music Inc. are thrilled to have one of their top acts of licensing back. President Steven McClintock of 37 Songs said, “We got into this business because of songs and Shiny Toy Guns always delivers the magic.” Faye’s return is revealed in an epic and moving short film called “Together Again,” which was shot on 35mm film on the breath taking Mammoth Mountain in Mammoth, Calif. Fans proclaimed their love for the video stating their emotion as, “Tears are literally streaming down my face right now. When Carah took her hood off, I literally busted into tears.” Others shared their happiness as, “The Guns are back for sure and the ‘Queen of the Guns’ has finally come home.” While some fans took note of their unique approach in delivering their message, “This video is absolutely beautiful, ethereal & symbolic in so many ways that representing a reunion in any other way would not have had the same impact.”

The group went its separate ways in 2008, after thousands of live sold-out shows and numerous TV appearances promoting their Grammy nominated debut CD, We Are Pilots. Their powerful indietronica fusion hit singles “Le Disko,” “You Are The One” and “Rainy Monday,” all from the We Are Pilots release, really paved the music industry wave in 2006 to what is popular now of electronic sounds coming from today’s music. The band is currently recording in Los Angeles with a goal of completing their new album III by late spring 2011, along with plans for an upcoming World tour this summer. In the meantime, Shiny Toy Guns is sharing yet another magical moment unleashing “The Sun,” their first new original single in over 3 years, taken from the upcoming album “III.” “The Sun” is currently #1 on L.A.’s KROQ Locals Only chart and has been rising on the station’s Top 5 at 5.

About 37 Songs/McJames Music Inc.,
“It all starts with a song” goes the old saying, and to us it also ends with a song. Long after the fad has faded and the moment has passed it may be hard to recall who sang “Stardust”, “As Time Goes By” or even in generations to come “Imagine” or “I Hope You Dance”, but the songs will still be played. They have a life of their own. At 37 Songs/McJames Music Inc., our goal is to nurture the writer to give the song a chance to be born. We understand that everything coming out of our writers will not be immediately recorded and some of the songs will never make the charts. But we as publishers will be there to offer our suggestions to improve the lyric, our production skills to better the demo, and our networking abilities to allow the song a chance in a very demanding and crowded marketplace. A part of 37 Records, 37 Songs/McJames Music represents Pamela Phillips Oland, Chad Petree, Jeremy Dawson (Shiny Toy Guns), Stephen Petree, Melody Zephyr, Ryan and Taylor Lawhon (White Apple Tree) and Cathy-Anne McClintock.

OPENING FOR FAMED GUITARIST DAVID LINDLEY
AT THE BRIXTON SOUTH BAY ON JANUARY 7

Recently named Musical Group of the Year at the 2010 Los Angeles Music Awards and named one of Music Connection magazine’s Hot 100 Unsigned Bands & Artists of the year, 37 Records folk/americana/country singer-songwriter Cathy-Anne McClintock will kick-off 2011 with a performance with famed guitarist David Lindley at The Brixton South Bay in Redondo Beach, Calif., on January 7.

Doors open at 7 p.m., with McClintock opening the show at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 and are available for purchase online at www.cathyannemcclintock.com. The show is 21+ only.

2010 has been an exciting year for McClintock with award nominations for Americana Blues Roots Artist of the Year and Americana Blues Roots Single Of The Year for her hit single “I Wanna Live Like That,” for Best Folk/Acoustic Song for “I Wanna Live Like That” at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, and for Bluegrass Inspirational Song of the Year for “I Wanna Live Like That” alongside Ricky Skaggs and Ronda Vincent at the Inspirational Country Music Awards in Nashville.

Music Connection has also selected their review of her self-titled debut album as one of their Top 25 New Music Critiques of 2010 and will rerun in the December 2010 issue, along with the Hot 100 honor.

Since moving to Southern California to focus on her solo career several years ago, she established herself as a formidable performer with gigs at hotspots like House of Blues, The Canyon Club, The Brixton, Hermosa Beach Series, Genghis Cohen, The Mint, Kulaks, Hallenbecks and various special events, including Laguna Beach’s Pageant of the Masters, Sunset Serenade Series, Far West Folk Alliance, Canadian Music Week, Hermosa Beach Concert Series and the popular folk series The Living Tradition. At a particularly memorable gig at the House of Blues on Sunset, she opened for Canadian Celtic rockers Great Big Sea for an audience comprised of fellow Canadians; one of the highlights was Russell Crowe sitting in and singing a few Johnny Cash tunes with the band.

McClintock’s emergence as a solo artist is simply the latest triumph in a career that would make anyone want to “live like that.” Shortly after the Vancouver born and raised performer and her older sister Trisha Gagnon formed their bluegrass band Tumbleweed in the 90s, they played their first show on a slate in British Columbia with superstars Dolly Parton and Dwight Yoakam at Music 91, a government sponsored road show designed to boost tourism.

37 RECORDS’ FRIENDS OF EMMET
DEBUTS ‘COMING APART’
AND CELEBRATES AT LA’S INFAMOUS
VIPER ROOM ON SEPTEMBER 16

***

The Band’s New Single and Title Track From ‘Coming Apart’
Is Inspired By The Story Of Kevin Hines Who Miraculously Survived Jumping From The Golden Gate Bridge

Dublin, Ireland’s indie rock band Friends Of Emmet (F.O.E) signed to innovative indie label 37 Records for a worldwide digital distribution deal to assist in debuting the band’s heartfelt project Coming Apart. On Thursday, September 16 F.O.E and 37 Records will celebrate the raved reviewed album at Los Angeles’ popular venue, The Viper Roomfrom 7:30-9 p.m. Guests who RSVP will receive a free F.O.E Coming Apart CD, plus the band will give a stellar 45 minute live performance. To RSVP for this spectacular event contact tasya@luckmedia.com. The first 20 guests, who RSVP to the Viper Room showcase, will also be invited to attend an intimate party for the band held at Swing House inL.A. on Thursday, September 23.

The title track to F.O.E’s album “Coming Apart” is a tribute to Kevin Hines, who attempted suicide at the age of 19 and survived jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. F.O.E felt strongly about Hines’ story and was passionate enough to create the song. Hines survived the suicide plunge from 245 feet above the water and is now an advocate for the building the bridge’s barriers or net prevention system, which will cost the city of San Francisco nearly 45-50 million dollars to create. Hines is a rare case of survival considering most jumpers die upon immediate impact, usually hitting the water at speeds in excess of 70 mph, which is often compared to hitting concrete. The few survivors of the impact either drown or die from hypothermia.

The music video released for “Coming Apart” features Hines, who watches over an emotionally depressed young woman contemplating suicide. The video is a powerful message showing the viewer an attempted suicide in hopes to give support to those who feel they have no way out. Hines will also be telling his story on CBS Sunday Morning comeSeptember 12, along with the CBS program showing F.O.E’s “Coming Apart” music video.

With all the suicide awareness F.O.E is creating, Suicide Prevention Lifeline and Save.org are supporting the band’s track “Coming Apart” and have added their own logos and help lines at the end of the music video to aid F.O.E.’s message. Yahoo.com is also showing the music video and a special taped acoustic performance by F.O.E that recently happened at Yahoo’s studios in Santa Monica.

IRELAND’S POPULAR ROCK BAND
FRIENDS OF EMMET
SIGNS WITH 37 RECORDS
AND DEBUTS ‘COMING APART’

***

The Title Track And Single From The Debut Album
Was Written About The Touching True Story
Of Suicide Survivor Kevin Hines
Who Miraculously Survived Jumping From The Golden Gate Bridge

The five-piece rock band Friends Of Emmet, hailing from Dublin, Ireland, recently signed with innovative indie label, 37 Records. Friends Of Emmet (F.O.E) formed in early 2009 consisting of Mark Leddy (vocals), Brian Lynam (guitar), Keith Geraghty (bass), Paul Dempsey (keyboards), and Lance Hogan (drums). The band just released their debut Coming Apart and re-located to Los Angeles to help push the launching of the album in United States.

Founder of 37 Records, Steven McClinctock, commented on the signing, “I was turned on to F.O.E. by a friend from Hevy D Music out of Canada and was completely taken by the sound of the band. We really wanted the opportunity to work with this Irish gem.”

The title track from the album Coming Apart was written about suicide survivor Kevin Hines of San Francisco, a man who miraculously survived jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge. The song was created to explain the emotional story of depression, while underlining the miracle of second chances and the will to live. The tragic tale fueled F.O.E., who really wanted to create the powerful message via song to support and reach those who feel there is no way out, in hopes to save a life. The music video documentary for “Coming Apart” features Kevin Hines and was recently shot in L.A. It is set to debut online to fans and newcomers later this month.

The single is starting to gain radio airplay in Canada and across the U.S., landing F.O.E. to perform a few tracks at Yahoo Music headquarters this week and will be featured on Yahoo.com.

37 Records features music ranging from singer/songwriters, children’s works, pop and rock, alternative modern rock, holiday music, jazz and R & B, country and bluegrass, rootsy americana to soundtracks. 37 Records’ current roster includes White Apple Tree, Brian Stoner, Friends of Emmet, Cathy-Anne McClintock, Nikki Forova, Judy Akin, Charlie Baker, Cris Barber, Melody Zephyr, Kristen Trayer, Tumbleweed, Tom Templeman, Fertitta and McClintock, Mindwalk, Haley Breedlove, Brett Daniels, Don McClintock, and Tessa McClintock. The label’s digital product is available in 25 different countries in over 120 separate websites… all leading back 37 Records.
