White Apple Tree Teams Up With Ultimate Ears To Shoot Commercial Highlighting The Bands’ Track ‘Youth II’ And Hits The Road Performing With Major Rockers The Sound, Berlin And Dirty Vegas On May 6 At L.A.’s Echoplex

37 Records young So Cal indietronic band, White Apple Tree(WAT) hits the viral scene with their latest involvement with Ultimate Ears(UE) Earphones’ commercial campaign highlighting UE’s slogan, “The Soul Of The Stage In Every Pair.” UE approached the rockers and the label to create a quick 1 minute commercial, casting WAT’s lead vocalist Ryan Lawhon as the subject of an anxiously waiting singer backstage putting on a pair of UE Earphones before performing in front of a screaming crowd. Images of WAT’s bassist Alex Lopez and keyboardist Taylor Lawhon gives the commercial essential live performance shots, that intrigues one female fan in the audience who leaves the venue wearing the same pair of UE Earphones. UE’s mission statement for the campaign was, “Made For the World’s Best Musician And For You.” The soundtrack for the commercial UE used WAT’s single “Youth II.”

The UE commercial comes in just weeks after WAT was featured on another soundtrack for blockbuster German film Kokowääh, which sold over 1 million tickets opening weekend. The band’s track “Snowflakes,” that initially debuted on CW’s hit TV show Gossip Girl, was featured in the director debuted film by one of Germany’s star actors, Til Schweiger (Inglorious Bastards, Three Musketeers). The single peaked at #11 on the iTunes Deutschland(Germany)Singles chart, beating out radio favorites Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and Black Eyed Peas. In addition, the film’s soundtrack skyrocketed to #3 its first week on iTunes Deutschland Soundtracks chart and broke into the Top 10 list on Amazon Germany Soundtracks chart.

Continuing on with their overseas and commercial success, WAT recently showcased with major rockers The Sounds and Berlin. On Friday, May 6 WAT will open for electro pop pioneers Dirty Vegas at the Echoplex in Los Angeles, in support of their latest four-track EP Peach Hat produced by Ryan Lawhon and 37 Records president Steven McClintock. WAT is currently climbing the TOP 20 Electronic chart for The Deli Los Angeles, was spotlighted in Boston’s Glide Magazine plus, gave a tapped performance with national weekly music show Beta Records TV, playing a stripped-down version of the EP’s first single, “Passed Out.” “Passed Out” reached the Top 10 Popular chart for the online radio station Hype Machine, before the EP was ever released.
