The already thriving music scene in Las Vegas is getting even hotter with the launch of Odds On Records, a full-service independent label and state of the art recording facility launched by several prominent music industry veterans.

Odds On Records is working with all types of artists from various genres. Currently, Odds On is releasing music CDs, live concert DVDs, and developing new talent as well as specific heritage artist releases.  The company’s innovative approach is to provide “a la carte” label, distribution, marketing, and development services tailored to both new and established artists.  Odds On’s objective is to derive revenue from all aspects of the music industry without sacrificing the varied business needs of their creative clientele.

Odds On Records recently announced that it has secured distribution by New York based industry powerhouse Koch Entertainment Distribution, currently the world’s fastest growing independent music company.

Artists working with Odds On Records will have the benefit of working at the company’s full-scale production facility, including its state of the art recording studios. The company also owns and operates its own CD and DVD replication plant.

The principals involved with Odds On Records are Ted Joseph , Harry Riggs , Robert “Bobby” Ferrari and Kekoa “Shakin” Quipotla.

Odds On Records Managing Director Ted Joseph spent twenty-one of his first 25 years in the business at Warner Bros., launching his career as a merchandiser in Detroit before holding positions in the company’s marketing, sales, radio promotion and distribution divisions over the years in New York and Los Angeles.

As a consultant for a growing number of labels in the realms of urban, pop, smooth jazz and country music, he’s worked with the likes of Alicia Keys , Kanye West , Cheryl Crow , Usher , Mariah Carey , Linkin Park , Fergie , and others. More recently, Joseph as a first call industry consultant has been able to set a trend working with what he calls “the new model” based on the digital age of music distribution and the concept of “virtual record companies.”

Head of Audio Production and Development Bobby Ferrari started his career in music as a bass guitarist for various platinum-selling artists and appeared nightly on FOX TV’s “The Ron Reagan Show.”  In the early ’90s, he decided to go into audio production and became the house engineer for Guns N’ Roses songwriter Wes Arkeen.

In 1996, Ferrari moved to Las Vegas, where he became deeply involved in the growing studio scene. Studio and artist development staff at Odds On will include Grammy winning producer/engineer James “Bonzai” Caruso, and multi-platinum engineer Sean O’Dwyer.

Head of Video Production and development Harry Riggs has over 20 years experience with media and entertainment in North America, Europe and Africa. With undergraduate (Northwestern University ’88) and graduate degrees in film/theatre directing, Harry has worked in production as well as management as an interim CEO. He has been involved with companies ranging in size from EMI , McCann-Erickson Worldwide and IBM to smaller startup companies in media and telecommunications.

Odds On Records Marketing Director Kekoa “Shakin” Quipotla has spent the last ten years in radio marketing and promotions for a number of independent and major record labels. Quipotla now sees his role as providing an opportunity for artists to break into or re-establish themselves in the music business through Odds On.
