Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack is back—and invites you to become part of the celebration at its new home!
After nearly a year at the Riviera Hotel & Casino, the ever-popular “Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show” (www.sandysratpack.com) makes a highly anticipated debut at the world famous Las Vegas Hilton August 2-9 with shows at 8:30 p.m. nightly for its Premiere Week.
The performances take place in the stunning Shimmer Cabaret. There will be a special Media Night and after-show party/meet and greet in the Tempo Lounge at the Las Vegas Hilton following the August 9 show.
Following Premiere week, “Rat Pack Tuesdays” with “Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show” kickoff regular Tuesday night performances on August 16 with shows at 6:45 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. every Tuesday evening thereafter.
A touring version of the show was performed May 24 at the Queens Theatre in the Park’s Gala 2011 in Queens, New York. Beginning this fall, “Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show” will hit the road with over 70 tour dates (so far) throughout the rest of 2011 and into 2012. A new website has recently been launched with information and updates about the tour: www.sandysratpackontour.com.
Lisa Dawn Miller, co-producer of the show with Sandy Hackett and one of its featured performers, said, “We are absolutely thrilled to be at the Las Vegas Hilton. The Shimmer Cabaret is one of the most intimate and beautiful showrooms in Las Vegas and our entire cast is so excited! It’s a great feeling to know we are anchored to such a wonderful team at the Las Vegas Hilton as we hit the road for our first national tour and even though we’ll be performing throughout the entire country beginning this fall, there’s no place like home – and what a new home we have!”
“It only makes perfect sense to have “Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show” at the Las Vegas Hilton,” said Ken Ciancimino, Executive Vice President of Administration. “Our property is iconic in its own right and so are Sinatra, Martin, Davis and Bishop. Having the show here is a natural.”
This fall, the Hackett-Miller Company will be launching “My Buddy,” a one man show, starring Sandy Hackett. A comedic, yet theatrical production about Sandy’s father, legendary comedian and longtime Las Vegas performer Buddy Hackett, the show features never before seen footage of Buddy, touching stories that only Buddy’s son could tell and Sandy’s impeccable flair for comedy (naturally). The show explores the wonderful father-son relationship Buddy and Sandy shared throughout the decades until Buddy’s passing in 2003.
Miller is currently producing and recording her new CD entitled “Wasn’t I A Good Time.” She is set to return to Detroit, where her father, legendary songwriter Ron Miller (“For Once In My Life”) launched his career 50 years ago. Miller is to film the first of a series of music videos to be released with the new CD, bringing attention to Detroit’s impoverished and desperate state. The CD will feature many of Ron Miller’s never before heard songs discovered only after his death in 2007.
As a guest columnist on Robin Leach’s Luxe Life Blog, filling in for the vacationing celebrity journalist, Miller last week penned an exclusive, insightful article on the mystery of “Frank Sinatra’s One Love,” the highly acclaimed role she performs in the show. Her column ran on www.vegasdeluxe.com , the Las Vegas Sun and in Las Vegas Weekly.
Tickets for “Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show” start at $49.95 (General Admission), $69.95 for Preferred and $89.95 for VIP (excluding tax and service charges), and can be purchased at the Las Vegas Hilton box office, online at www.lvhilton.com, or by calling 1-800-222-5361.
