Their New Double-Disc Album Titled ‘Smooth Jaws’
37 Records’ White Apple Tree (WAT) return to the spotlight with their new single, “Circles,” from their forthcoming album titled, “Smooth Jaws.” The band’s new full-length album will be completed as they head overseas to Germany, Switzerland and Austria as a part of their promotional tour for the new album.
The single is also expected to hit all digital download formats, including iTunes and Amazon in the coming weeks. The song’s accompanying music video, directed by Will Lamborn, depicts brothers Ryan and Taylor Lawhon serenading the same girl behind a backdrop of black and white incorporated with color cut scenes.
“Smooth Jaws” expands upon the electronic sounds and rhythms presented on their critically acclaimed Peach Hat EP. The new album will consist of beautiful layers of synths and vocal textures through more classic pop structures.
In the states, “Circles,” is expected to hit the airwaves to prepare fans and newcomers for the release of the band’s new LP, scheduled for September 6. 37 Records president Steven McClintock hired L.A. based radio promotions firm Substance to be at the helm of this project. Their recent major radio airplay successes include indie rock bands Surfer Blood, The Pains of Being Pure At Heart and Young The Giant.
