ACTOR/COMEDIAN SID VEDA JOINS FELLOW FUNNYMAN
JACK BLACK AND A HOST OF CELEBRITIES ON
THE RED CARPET FOR THE ‘All IN TO WIN FOR HOPE’
CELEBRITY POKER TOURNAMENT IN COMMERCE, CALIF.
Actor/comedian Sid Veda, known as MetroPCS’s Tech&Talk co-host “Chad,” joined a host of celebrities, including fellow comedian Jack Black on the red carpet for the “All In To Win” celebrity poker tournament on October 29. Proceeds from the event benefitted Renal Support Network and Love Across the Ocean.
Veda and his zany co-star on the hilarious commercial series Anjul Nigam (Tech&Talk’s “Ranjit”) hit the red carpet November 3 at the launch of the MetroPCS Huawei M835, hosted by popular retailer tokidoki. Veda and Nigam posed with the limited edition phone and with their adoring fans during the event. A portion of all sales from the evening went to 1love.org, which benefits random acts of kindness everywhere.
Although largely recognized as “Chad” on the national commercial campaign, Veda also played a similar role on the now-defunct NBC sitcom “Outsourced” directed by Ken Kwapis. Among other commercial appearances, Veda’s resume includes spots for Wendy’s and a Super Bowl ad for Heineken starring Brad Pitt and directed by Golden Globe winner David Fincher (“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “The Social Network”).
As a comic, Veda has opened shows for comedy stars Russell Peters (also of Indian heritage) at the New York Comedy Club in fall 2002 and for Chris Rock at the Hollywood Improv in April 2008.
