Kincaid shares chart space with superstars like Rod Stewart, Colbie Caillat, Lady Antebellum and Michael Bublé on the Mediabase AC Christmas chart

Chicago’s indie singing sensation Richard Kincaid continues his climb up the Mediabase Adult Contemporary Christmas Chart to #13 with a bullet, putting him in major superstar company with his new holiday single “This Christmas (*Mistletoe)”—an R&B-driven remake of Donny Hathaway Christmas classic.

The AC powerhouse singer joins music superstars on the chart such as Rod Stewart, Colbie CaillatLady AntebellumMichael Bublé, Cee Lo Green, Richard Marx and Train.

The track, which features vocals by Cuba Gooding, Sr. of the famed soul groupThe Main Ingredient, is also currently #23 with a bullet on the main Mediabase AC Chart.

Kincaid, who recently released his full-length independent debut album Mosaic, was the very first artist of 2012 to crack the Top Ten of the FMQB AC40 Chart with his version of Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine.” He followed that by hitting the #1 Most Added List on the FMQB AC Add Board with “Wonderful Day.”

Both songs appear on Mosaic, which includes eight powerfully produced cover songs (from a rousing gospel-tinged version Elton John‘s “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me” to “Tracks of My Tears”), plus four original tracks by his multi-talented musical partner David Taylor II. The album was released on Taylor’sHouse of DT Records label. Behind-the-scenes footage can be viewed by clicking here.

Kincaid is set to launch 2013 with the release of his latest non-holiday single “I Wish That Was Me,” featuring multiple Grammy nominated contemporary jazz saxophone superstar Dave Koz.

In addition to pursing his music career, Kincaid has also embraced his philanthropic side by creating the BeCause Foundation, a non-profit organization that combines documentary films and outreach campaigns and tackles such hot button issues as homelessness and healthcare, human rights in East Burma, sexual abuse of children and bullying. The foundation partnered with the creators and producers of the poignant (and controversial) film “Bully” which offers insight into the cruel world of the lives of bullied children. It was released nationally byThe Weinstein Company on March 30, 2012.

Kincaid has lent his music talents at fundraisers to support his causes including a benefit held in December 2011 for Life for the World- an organization he sponsors to raise money for the Maranatha Orphanage and School in Haiti.
