GIRLS RULE! THE ORIGINAL
GIRL GUITAR COMPANY,
LANDS COVER STORY IN USA TODAY
Approaching Its Tenth Year In Business,
The Thriving Company Predicts Record-Breaking
Sales This Holiday Season
Rock goddess Tish Ciravolo, the founder and president of the first and only girl-guitar company, Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, made the front page story, “Daisy Rock amps up girl power,” in USA Today’s Money section on December 15. Ciravolo gives the back story on her fortune company, describes the female guitar concept within the male-dominated industry, and touches on her meeting with Vicki Peterson of the Bangles, to discuss the Bangles Signature Model eclectic guitar for the Daisy Rock line.
As a bonus to the timely media coverage this holiday season, Daisy Rock Girl Guitars is also nearing record-breaking sales this month. Ciravolo comments, “Daisy Rock is on track to have our best December ever. We have already beaten our numbers from last year. This recession isn’t going to stop girls from rocking on their Daisy Rock Guitars!”
Coming up on its ten year anniversary, the company has sold more than 150,000 feminine crafted guitars since its inception in 2000 and offers an ample assortment of six-string and bass guitars from their Daisy Rock and Debutante by Daisy Rock lines, featuring the popular Butterfly Series, Pixie Acoustic Series, Heartbreaker Series, Daisy Series, Stardust Series, and the Rock Candy Series, to name a few.
Ciravolo–also the current bass player of L.A. band sASSafrASS– put crayon to paper during playtime with her oldest daughter, Nicole, and drew a daisy-shaped guitar, sparking the idea to create Daisy Rock. With the encouragement and help of Schecter Guitars’ President and her husband Michael Ciravolo, Tish cultivated her concept into what is now the Daisy Short Scale guitar. Designed with a signature petal-shaped body, all Daisy Rock guitars are lighter weight than the standard electric guitar and feature a “Slim & Narrow” neck design that’s perfect for girls with smaller hands.
Distributed by Alfred Music Publishing, Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, with headquarters in Van Nuys, CA, are available at more than 1,000 storefronts and all major online dealers. Plus the addition of Daisy Rock Worldwide, Ciravolo’s imaginative designs grace the walls of music stores in 26 other countries around the world.
With Heart’s Ann and Nancy Wilson supporting Daisy Rock, Avril Lavigne playing the Sparkle Pink acoustic, and artists as diverse as Alexia Rodriguez (Eyes Set to Kill), Lisa Loeb, Jackie Tohn (American Idol Season 8), Denise Vaquez and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Wanda Jackson picking Daisies, these guitars are made for the ladies of rock ‘n roll.
