LOS ANGELES – A year after winning Best Rock Song of the Year (“When Will It End”) at the 2012 Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA), the inspirational story of blind guitarist Jared Hara (www.jaredhara.com) that was captured in a touching HBO Documentary—the first blind guitarist to be accepted at Musicians Institute—and his critically-acclaimed progressive pop/rock band Symmetry hits another peak with their signing to the British based label Self Made Records.

Self Made Records, established in the U.K. in 2011 as an international DIY label and based in Nottingham, England, will be releasing Symmetry’s full-length debut album Frozen In Time (produced by James Paul Wisner, renowned for his work with Dashboard Confessional and Paramore) worldwide next year.

Gearing up for the rollout of Frozen In Time, Self Made Records will include the Symmetry track “Back Home” on the Self Made Sampler 2.0. and promote the single to radio while doing various other merchandise giveaway promotions in both the U.S. and U.K.

“We’re ecstatic to announce that we have been signed by the international label, Self Made Records,” Symmetry said in a statement. “We are already in in the early stages of nailing down tours here in the U.S. and in the U.K. for next year to promote the album. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our fans, friends and family for your continued support and to Self Made for believing in us.”

Peter Bowers, CEO, Self Made Records USA, says, “We are honored to have such a dynamic, and inspiring group of guys become part of the Self Made Records family as the first band signed to the label from the USA. We are proud to have Symmetry lead the charge of new and innovative American bands that set a precedent, far beyond definition in its creativity and influence. They will be making music and moving the masses for many years to come. We could not be more stoked to have them aboard Self Made.”

Symmetry and their fans will start their celebration in Los Angeles with two upcoming shows at the Whisky A Go Go (November 7) and The Roxy (November 21).

Hara formed Symmetry with fellow MI student Mike Campbell, who is his co-writer and the band’s frontman. The group scored big out of the box in 2012 with their five track EP Zelodius, which included “When Will It End.” Symmetry’s other band members include bassist Will Weiner and drummer Max D’Anda.

In addition to breaking ground and captivating audiences at L.A. hotspots like House of Blues and The Viper Room, Symmetry premiered the tracks of Zelodius on college radio stations in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Symmetry also made Music Connection Magazine’s list of 100 Best Bands of 2012.
