A fresh sparkle in the music industry, Lisa Dawn Miller has been blessed with the voice of an angel and comes from the finest musical lineage. Her extraordinary talents as a singer, songwriter, producer and actor have captured the media’s attention and the public’s eye. A songwriting style reminiscent of her father, the legendary and world renowned Ron Miller (1932- 2007), Lisa is destined to follow in her father’s footsteps, while carving out her own signature into the musical genius of the Miller music legacy. Her music is rich, sweet and passionate. Every note, every word delivered from the heart. Linda Amiel Burns, Cabaret Scenes, writes “Lisa Dawn Miller’s show at The Metropolitan Room in New York city was one of the best shows that I have ever seen. Very rarely do you get to see a singer cast a magic spell on stage and have the audience in the palm of her hand. Aside from being an incredible singer with a strong belt and a sweet, creamy vocal quality, Lisa has passion, sincerity, warmth and a great stage persona.”

Lisa spent the first part of her life as a successful business executive working her way up to First Vice President of Investments at Morgan Stanley. Desiring a strong background and foundation in business, Lisa rebelled against the limelight of the entertainment industry, becoming a very successful stockbroker, financial planner, stock portfolio/wealth management advisor and retirement planning specialist focusing on 401k retirement plans (that’s what you call Jewish rebellion). With this knowledge, experience and foundation in place, Lisa has now decided to turn her interest back to her first love of music & song….as a singer, writer and producer.

Lisa’s father, legendary songwriter Ron Miller has written some of the biggest hit songs in history recorded by the most successful recording artists around the world. His hit songs include “For Once In My Life,” “Touch Me In The Morning,” “ A Place In the Sun,” “Yester-me, Yester-you, Yesterday,” “Heaven Help Us All,”” “I’ve Never Been to Me,” “Someday at Christmas” and “If  I Could.” These songs have sold in the tens of millions and have been recorded by top artists including Barbra Streisand, Stevie Wonder, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Diana Ross, Celine Dion, & Michael Bolton. “Heaven Help Us All,” the last song ever recorded by Ray Charles, won a Grammy award in 2005 and “For Once In My Life,” one of the most recorded and successful songs in history, recorded by over 280 major label artists, won three Grammy Awards in 2006 for the Tony Bennett and Stevie Wonder collaboration and was most recently inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2009. Lisa has recorded and performs many of her father’s hits as well as original songs she has co-written with him. Lisa’s critically acclaimed show, “I Want To Come Back As A Song: Ron Miller, A Knight of Lyrics” won rave reviews by New York critics where she debuted it in 2008. In addition, she has been going through the personal Miller music vault to discover many unreleased, beautiful songs written by her father, that she has now remade, produced and is releasing. Lisa says, “For every ‘For Once In My Life,’ there were a hundred songs no one has ever heard – all just as beautiful – all standards, waiting to be born.” Using her father’s original songs to add the narrative element in her current production, “Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show,” for which she produces and stars as “Frank’s One Love,” sets this show apart from any other. “It gives a little back story of these legendary icons known as the ‘Rat Pack’ while taking the audience on an emotional journey in which they get to hear new (and yet old) songs – amazingly incredible songs that move you to tears, expressed lyrically by the one, the only, Ron Miller.”

Lisa’s mother, Aurora is a beautiful soprano with credits including the role of Tuptim in the Chicago production of  “The King & I.” Aurora is also a songwriter with songs like “Everyone’s a Kid at Christmastime” recorded by Stevie Wonder.

Lisa’s debut release, “Fly Away” has received wonderful reviews.  Jeff Rossen, Chicago Editor/Recordings Reviewer, Cabaret Scenes Magazine, said “Take a collection of songs of exceptional quality and breadth, set them in striking arrangements and then turn the lyrics and melodies over to a singer whose voice can cut straight through the heart, and you’ve got one heck of a dazzling debut! 2006 #1 Debut of  the Year!”

Lisa is married to mega-talented comedian, actor and producer, Sandy Hackett. Together, they have two children, Oliver (9 years old), an incredibly talented singer and actor, and equally talented Ashleigh, who recently made her debut in “Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show” at 3 years old. Lisa is grateful for the many blessings in her life, mostly her family. She is dedicated to preserving her father’s legacy for the many, many generations to come who are and will be inspired by songs, his genius and mostly his hope…for a brighter tomorrow.
