Already making a splash on the SoCal music scene, 37 Records and Country/Folk/Americana artist Cathy-Anne McClintock are poised to make an impact on Music City when they hit Nashville, Tenn., for a special showcase and in-the-round songwriter’s night.

37 Records – along with Music Starts Here, The Nashville Muse and SongCatalog.com – will host a showcase by Cathy-Anne McClintock and the Valley Boyz at The Listening Room on October 11. Tickets are $10 and the first 50 paid people through the door will receive a McClintock’s self-titled debut album for free. The show starts at 6 p.m. sharp.

Immediately following the showcase will be an in-the-round songwriter’s night with Steven McClintock and Friends, featuring Gunnar Nelson, Victoria Shaw and Alan O’Day, with special guests Tiffany, Charlie Baker, Mitch Malloy and others.

McClintock will be in town for the Inspirational Country Music Awards, taking place on October 14 at the Trinity Music City USA Auditorium. She is nominated in the Bluegrass Inspirational Artist category for her hit song, “I Wanna Live Like That”.

McClintock has also recently earned Los Angeles Music Award nominations for Americana Song Of The Year for her “I Wanna Live Like That” and for Americana Artist Of The Year.

Music Connection magazine named McClintock one of the Hot 100 Unsigned Bands & Artists of the year (December 2009 issue).

Since moving to Southern California to focus on her solo career several years ago, she established herself as a formidable performer with gigs at hotspots like The Canyon Club, The Brixton, Hermosa Beach Series, Genghis Cohen, The Mint, Kulaks, Hallenbecks and various special events, including Laguna Beach’s Pageant of the Masters, Sunset Serenade Series, Far West Folk Alliance, Canadian Music Week and the popular folk series The Living Tradition.  At a particularly memorable gig at the House of Blues on Sunset, she opened for Canadian Celtic rockers Great Big Sea for an audience comprised of fellow Canadians; one of the highlights was Russell Crowe sitting in and singing a few Johnny Cash tunes with the band.

McClintock’s emergence as a solo artist is simply the latest triumph in a career that would make anyone want to “live like that.” Shortly after the Vancouver born and raised performer and her older sister Trisha Gagnon formed their bluegrass band Tumbleweed in the 90s, they played their first show on a slate in British Columbia with superstars Dolly Parton and Dwight Yoakam at Music 91, a government sponsored road show designed to boost tourism.

37 Records features music ranging from singer-songwriters, children’s works, pop and rock, alternative modern rock, holiday music, jazz and R & B, country and bluegrass, rootsy americana to soundtracks. Its digital product is available in 25 different countries on over 120 separate websites… all leading back 37 Records.

The 37 Records roster consist of White Apple Tree, Brian Stoner, Friends of Emmet, Nikki Forova, Cathy-Anne McClintock, Judy Akin, Cris Barber, Fertitta and McClintock, Tom Templeman, Mindwalk, Tumbleweed, Haley Breedlove, Brett Daniels, Kristen Trayer, Don McClintock, Christian Bradley, and Steven McClintock.
