A fresh and powerful new voice on the contemporary jazz scene, Cheryl Barnes (www.cheryldbarnes.com) – whose new full-length album Listen To This is scoring airplay everywhere from KCRW in Los Angeles to WNVW (The Wave) in Cleveland – will be sharing a “Hot Night of Cool Jazz” with renowned R&B/Jazz singer Johnny Britt on Saturday, August 16 in Port Hueneme, Calif.

The show falls on the same weekend as the 16^th Annual Celebration of the Toni Young Hueneme Beach Festival, ”the hottest beach party in Southern California,” set for August 16 & 17 at Hueneme Beach Park. Barnes’ multi-format appeal has also earned her significant Triple AAA airplay for her heartfelt, jazzy rendition of Joni Mitchell‘s “Come In From The Cold.”
