Fresh off their win for “Best Country Song” for their hit single “Nobody Knows” at the Hollywood Music In Media Awards, emerging country group Coldwater Canyon Band recently sat down with former Howard Stern entertainment reporter Gary Garver to tape an episode of his syndicated radio talk show “Gary Garver Live,” set to air December 22 on WTAN-AM in Tampa Bay, Fla., WDCF-AM in Dade City, Fla., WZHR-AM in Zephyr Hills, Fla., and KLRG-AM in Little Rock, Ark., at 8 a.m. PST/11 a.m. EST. The interview will also be available for listening online at www.tantalk1340.com.
Coldwater Canyon Band is slated to be the first guest to appear on Gary Garver’s new TV show in early 2011.
On December 5, Coldwater Canyon Band supported participants of the 10th Annual Say No To Drugs Race Holiday Classic held on the Universal Studios Backlot. The event benefited organizations which are successfully fighting drugs. Coldwater Canyon Band presented medals to race participants and were a crowd hit with frontman Howie Vaughn making up a “Say No To Drugs” song on the spot.
Adding to an already exciting year, Coldwater Canyon Band was recently named one of the Hot 100 Unsigned Bands & Artists of the year by Music Connection magazine (December 2010 issue).
Coldwater Canyon recently released their second single “Peace Of Mind,” from their debut album Just Getting Started, a touching tribute to the men and women who courageously serve and protect our country in the military, which Vaughn penned after his experience in the military. The video for the song has spawned over 560,000 views on MySpace.
“Peace Of Mind” can be purchased online at Amazon.com and iTunes. 50% of proceeds from the track will be donated to VeteranAid.org.
