CSJQ Earns HMMA Nomination For Their Single “F.U.N.”

VIRGINIA-BASED HIP-HOP/FUNK DUO CSJQ EARNS A HOLLYWOOD MUSIC IN MEDIA AWARD NOMINATION FOR THEIR INFECTIOUS SINGLE ‘F.U.N’

CSJQ Celebrates Their ‘Best Rap/Hip-Hop’ Nod  And Release Their Second Single/Music Video For ‘The Life’

Virginia‘s hip-hop/funk duo CSJQ (Clayton Savage and JayQuan) earned a Hollywood Music In Media Award (HMMA) nomination in the ‘Best Rap/Hip-Hop‘ category for their infectious indie hit, ‘F.U.N.‘ The single is currently climbing Starfleet Music‘s Hip-Hop and Indie chart, at #10 and #3 respectively.

Happening on November 17, 2011 at the world-famous Hollywood & Highland Kodak Theatre complex in Hollywood, Calif., the HMMAs honor music of visual mediums, the talented individuals responsible for it, and the music of mainstream and independent artists around the world. For CSJQ, this will count as their first nomination.

“We are both surprised and honored to be nominated in the best Rap/Hip-Hop category for the HMMAs,” said JayQuan. “Clayton and I are very excited!”

On October 8, the band wrapped filming for their second single, the title track from their EP debut, “The Life.” El Bravador filmworks returns as the clip’s director—the digital cinematographers also directed their first video for their nominated track.

CSJQ has been fast on the promotional track in support of their four-track EP. In addition to signing a major deal with Veal-Steen Publishing, the band has recently been featured on The Trades, Revive All Music, Grown and Sexy Jams and theSOP.org. On October 18, the band will appear on Big Blend Radio‘s Rants, Raves & Rock show.
