On Playboy.com’s Nightlife Corner ‘The Spot’
The award-winning singer, songwriter, and keyboardist Dave Schulz is stepping back into the music spotlight– this time as a solo artist with his debut album, Connect. Formerly a touring/recording vocalist and keyboardist for superstars such as Goo Goo Dolls, Bo Diddley, English Beat, Fuel, Berlin and The Rembrandts, Dave will rock the stage at The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles on Wednesday, November 25 at 8 p.m.
Slated to kick off later this fall, Dave’s first tour as a solo artist will include shows in cities on the west coast such as San Francisco, Sacramento, San Luis Obispo, San Diego and Santa Barbara.
The music industry is quickly taking notice of Dave’s dynamic talent, landing a spotlight in the November 2009 issue of Keyboard Magazine. Dave was also recently highlighted on Playboy.com’s The Spot in it’s L.A. nightlife section where he shared of few of his personal favorites.
Dave was recently nominated for a Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA), in the Adult Contemporary/AAA category for his new single “Stray” from his debut recording, Connect. The HMMA’s will take place on Thursday, November 19 at The Highlands in the Kodak Theatre complex in Hollywood. The red carpet event will feature live performances of today’s top indie artists from around the world, an awards ceremony, plus a catered VIP reception by renowned chef Wolfgang Puck.
