Greg London (www.gregorylondon.com), the entertainer behind the record-breaking run of “ICONMAN” in Sammy’s Showroom at Harrah’s Reno received a distinguished honor on Thursday, July 30. “Greg London Day” was celebrated as Miss Nevada 2008, Christina Keegan, and Harrah’s Entertainment Executive, Vic Richard, presented London with the proclamation onstage after his crowd-pleasing show. The famed entertainer was left nearly speechless following the humbling dedication and roaring applause.
London brings more news this week as his latest single “Cool Change,” a cover of Little River Band’s classic, moved up to #13 (with a bullet) on this week’s FMQB AC40 Radio Airplay Chart, alongside tracks by some of pop music’s heavy hitters including Nickelback, Pink, Taylor Swift and Kelly Clarkson.
Through August 9, London will also celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the South Shore Room at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe by bringing “ICONMAN” —recently voted “Best Show In Northern Nevada” by Nevada Magazine—to the fabled venue. Read more about London in his revealing cover story for Nevada Magazine’s current issue as the star talks about seeking “…stardom through his own voice.”
