HMMA ANNOUNCES BETA RECORDS TV
AS THE EXCLUSIVE CONTENT PROVIDER
OF THE 2010 AWARDS SHOW
Hollywood, CA – October 29, 2010: The Hollywood Music In Media Awards (HMMA) announced today that BETA Records TV will be the exclusive television and online broadcast content provider of the official awards show on November 18, 2010, taking place at The Highlands in the famous Hollywood & Highlands Center.
BETA Records TV is a nationally syndicated weekly music-centric television series carried in 150+ U.S. cities. Based in the heart of Hollywood, Calif., BETA Records TV showcases at least three acoustic artist videos from newly-signed and Indie bands weekly in episode format. On-site coverage of the HMMA event will be unique in content and style. “HMMA is a high-energy event, therefore, we are capturing the award show organically using all hand-held shots to give the ceremony an intimate feeling with an exciting twist of reality TV flavor,” says Chris Honetschlaeger, President and Executive Producer of BETA Records TV.

Hosts, presenters, performers and VIP guests include Oscar-nominated actor and music enthusiast Eric Roberts, artist/actor Suzan Brittan-Gault, radio/TV host Samantha Phillips, former Matchbox 20 member Adam Gaynor, L.A. City Councilman Tom Labonge (presenting a special proclamation to the HMMA), along with more celebrities, VIPs and nominated music performers Mozella, Gram Rabbit, Keaton Simons, Steve Palmer Band and more.
The HMMA awards show features both mainstream and Indie artist music nominees, along side some of the more established names in film composing and music supervision. Film composer nominees include Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (“The Social Network”); Hans Zimmer (“Inception”); Howard Shore (“The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”);Tomandandy (“Resident Evil: Afterlife”); Craig Armstrong (“Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”); Marcelo Zarvos (“Brooklyn’s Finest”); Chingon (“Machete”) and Clint Mansell(“Black Swan”).
Additional music categories include Original Score for TV, Video Game and Indie/Short/Documentary, as well as Best Song for TV, Film Video Game and Commercial Advertisement.
The HMMA is also the only awards show to recognize and award music supervisors for their work in TV, film, video games and movie trailers. Among this year’s nominees are PJ Bloom, who won the 2009 HMMA for Outstanding Music Supervision for “Glee”, is again nominated for his music supervision in the film, “Eat Pray Love”.
Original Score-TV nominees include Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman (“Nurse Jackie”); The Angel (“Hawthorne”); Steffan Fantini, Marc Fantini and Scott Gordon(“Criminal Minds”); Sean Callery (“24”); Andrew Lockington (“Sanctuary”), and 2009 HMMA winner Nathan Barr (“True Blood”).
Video Game Composer nominees include Petri Alanko, Garry Schyman, Knut Avenstroup Haugen, Martin O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori, Tom Salta, Jesper Kyd, Jim Dooley and Ramin Djawadi.
A special Outstanding Career Achievement honor will be presented to film composer and educator Christopher Young (“Spiderman 2” & “Spiderman 3,” “The Shipping News,” “Swordfish”).
