MontrealCanada’s rising indie rock trio Exit 451 was nominated for a 2010 Hollywood Music and Media Awards(HMMA) for their current single “Where The Sea Meets The Sky”- a clever spin on the concept of infinity and remoteness – for the Best Rock Song of the year. The HMMAs’ red carpet event takes place on Thursday, November 18at The Highlands within the Kodak Theatre complex, where many of today’s leading music supervisors, artists of all different types of music genres from around the world and composers of music for film and TV will be honored for their efforts in the industry.

The band’s vocalist JP Alepins recently was featured on Arizona’s popular Big Blend Radio for the station’s segment Rants, Raves and Rock ‘N Roll. Host Lisa Smithcompared the band to The Cure and commented on the single saying, “…the dynamics in this song, to me, just rock. It’s like an old friend…first play and you are stuck on it and you can’t get it off your mind.” Alepins also informed the station the band will be touring in the States in 2011. Exit 451’s Alain Avon (guitars, piano, keyboards, arrangements), brother Martin Avon (bass, arrangements) and Alepins have be enjoying seeing the band’s single, “Where The Sea Meets The Sky”-from the band’s debut album The Sea Above the Sky-climb the FMQB AC40 Chart this week to #24, which was the #1 most added track its first week on the chart. This week the single sits alongside major artists such as Maroon 5Daughtry and Katie Perry.

Exit 451′s album was produced by the renowned Mark Howard (Bob Dylan,Tom Waits, Marianne Faithfull) guiding the indie rockers to capture their hypnotic finesse at the band’s very own state-of-the-art The Bank Studio 451, one of the top recording facilities in Canada.
