Car nuts, bikers, automotive adventurers and anyone in Las Vegas fascinated by unique attractions off the beaten path—5115 Dean Martin Drive, just South of Tropicana off the 15 Freeway, to be exact—are invited to the Hot Rod City Hangout, a fun for all ages open house celebrating the long-awaited grand opening of the city’s dynamic new car and motorcycle Mecca, Hot Rod City (www.hotrodcitylasvegas.com).

The event, set for Saturday, May 12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., will include a drive in cool car and bike Show; beer, BBQ, a live broadcast on KOOL 102.3 FMBiker Babes and Hot Rod Chicks ready to pose with your ride (bring your cameras!).

The crown jewel of Hot Rod City is The Dezer Collection (www.dezercollection.com), which since opening in early 2011, has become a dynamic must see part of the ever happening retro and custom car culture in Las Vegas. It became so popular that it quickly expanded from its initial 5,000 to a 25,000 square-foot space.

A classic car and scooter collector since the ’70s, Michael Dezer has accumulated hundreds of vehicles and thousands of pieces of memorabilia. He is currently nearing completion of a 200,000 square foot museum in Sunny Isles, Florida (conveniently located between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale) to showcase the original Dezer Collection, which displays over 600 of his vehicles.

The Dezer Collection of Las Vegas features some of the most popular vehicles in Dezer’s extensive collection. Many of these are film and TV icons, including  the “Beverly Hillbillies” jalopy, the Mercedes from “The Hangover,” the “Back To The Future” DeLorean, KITT (the talking Trans Am from “Knight Rider,” the Harley that Arnold Schwarzenegger rode in ”The Terminator” films, the Dragula (Grandpa Munster‘s hot rod coffin on wheels), the “General Lee” Dodge Charger from “Dukes of Hazard,” the “Robocop” police car and tuner cars from the “Fast and the Furious” films.

Hot Rod City also houses a variety of automotive businesses, including Las Vegas Choppers & Tatoo Parlor (www.lasvegaschoppers.com), known as the best place to buy or rent a chopper and get a tattoo! The company boasts the best custom choppers in the industry and offers the only custom chopper rentals service in the city. Adventurous customers can take a Las Vegas Choppers tour on the open road with an experienced tour guide, who will show them the side of Vegas only seen in the movies. Las Vegas Choppers also builds American Custom Choppers.

Hot Rod City also has exotic and custom car/motorcycle sales & rentals, customizers, body shops, mechanics, paint shops, fabricators, car restorers, upholstery shops, etc. A limited number of spaces for automotive related businesses are currently available for lease.
