Title track gets wild at radio, follows up the Latino rap superstar’s sweet success with “Suga Suga”
Empire MusicWerks, the eclectic, Miami-based record label that recently released albums as diverse as Jordan Knight (The New Kids on the Block), and The Spooky Kids (vintage unreleased Marilyn Manson), is keeping the party going with Latino rap superstar Baby Bash’s Menage A Trois , which drops June 29. The title track follows his mega hit “Suga Suga” to radio.
Menage A Trois is the sophomore disc from the Houston-based “spitter,” as Bash calls his style, following on the heels of Tha Smokin’ Nephew , which continues to burn up the Hot 100, Top 40, Rap Singles and Single Sales charts with “Suga Suga.”
Tha Smokin’ Nephew has been RIAA certified gold with sales over 500,000 (and still climbing), and fueled by Bash’s extensive tour with Ludacris, Chingy and Bubba Sparxx. It as been on the Billboard Top 200 for more than 22 weeks, and dominates the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart, as well. The former Potna Deuce and Latino Velvet member hit it as a solo artist with Savage Dreams , his 2001 debut.
Menage A Trois , continues the winning partnership produced by Happy P. showings off the Northern California native’s versatility; he throws down the gangsta stuff, but he can also go mainstream R&B and alternative folk rap with just as much passion. No wonder he’s known as the Latino De Niro.
