KANISHA K’s ‘Bring Me Home’ Holds Steady In The Top Ten On The FMQB AC40 Chart – While Rising On The Billboard AC Indicator And Mediabase A/C Charts

The Michigan-Based Artist’s Track “Stupid Boyfriend” Was Recently Picked Up By Abercrombie & Fitch Stores For Nationwide Airplay Starting In September

 

HOLLAND, MICH. –Kanisha K‘s (www.kanishakmusic.com) summer hit Bring Me Homemade it to the Top Ten on the FMQB AC40 Chart last week – and now she’s getting comfortable, holding steady this week at #10 while sharing chart space with pop superstars Ed Sheeran, Ingrid Michaelson, Justin Timberlake, OneRepublic and Paramore, Canadian sensation Frank D’Angelo and emerging stars Sam Smith and Nico & Vinz.

Kanisha’s track enjoyed an impressive 193 spin increase and missed moving up to #9 by one spin and #8 by only two.

“Bring Me Home,” the follow up to the emerging pop songstress’ breakthrough hit My Another Dayalso rises from #25 to #23 with a bullet on the Billboard AC Indicator chart while grooving back into the Top 30 (rising from #32 to #30) on the Mediabase A/C chart.

In other news, Kanisha is quickly becoming the queen of musical retail. While “Bring Me Home” is currently playing in Forever 21 women’s clothing stores nationwide, the remix to her song “(I Gotta) Stupid Boyfriend” has been picked up for play in Abercrombie & Fitch stores nationwide starting in September.

The Holland, Mich.-based artist will be featured at H.O.M.E. at the B.O.B. in Grand Rapids on August 28 (thebob.com/homelivemusic.php), which is affiliated with the willplayforfoodfoundation.org.

Kanisha K recently snagged a second Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA) in the category of Best Pop Song for “Stupid Boyfriend.” Previously, she had earned a nomination in the same category for “My Another Day.”

“Bring Me Home” was produced by Larry King (Soleil Moon- lead vocalist in the Michael Thompson Band & Larry King Orchestra). The track features some of Chicago’s top musicians, including John Blasucci on keyboards, Khari Parker on drums, Lamar Jones on bass and guitarist Chris Siebold.

The track was engineered and mixed by Grammy Award winner Craig Bauer, whose credits include Kanye West, The O’Jays, 98 Degrees, Richard Marx, Styx, Dave Koz, Public Enemy, Brian Culbertson, Nick Carter,  Straight No Chaser and others.
