ORANGE COUNTY-BASED TEEN PRODIGY ALANA LEE
WINS MISS PLACENTIA OUTSTANDING TEEN 2014

SoCal-based multi-talented 17-year-old ALANA LEE (www.alanaleemusic.net), best known for her infectious pop tunes, claimed the title of Miss Placentia Outstanding Teen 2014 on February 8.

The Southern California-based program is a scholarship based pageant and recognizes teens that stand out with regard to community service and involvement, current issues awareness, talent, poise, etc. The platform that Alana chose to support is her favorite charity Miracles For Kids (www.miraclesforkids.org) to bring more awareness to the program.

Capping an incredible year in 2013 of releasing two singles “Dream Out Loud” and “Perfect Storm” along with numerous performances, red carpet appearances and endorsements, Alana kicked off 2014 with a cover story in Teen Graffiti Magazine’s January/February issue.

The poignant music video for “Dream Out Loud” was named one of the Top 5 Most Powerful Music Videos of 2013 by Markos Papadatos of the Digital Journal: http://www.digitaljournal.com/entertainment/op-ed-5-of-the-most-powerful-music-videos-of-2013-that-are-a-must-see/article/364911

In addition to her ongoing work with Miracles For Kids, Alana demonstrated her philanthropic side during several events last year at a local Christmas toy giveaway event presented by EZWAYTV and headlining the “CPC Annual Theatrical Concert 4A Cause,” a benefit held in November for children with cancer from Miller’s Children’s Hospital at 333 Live, Los Angeles’ largest mega-club/concert venue.

Last year, Alana also performed in Tunes for Tots’ “The Best in the West 2013” show last fall at The House of Blues in West Hollywood to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a non-profit organization comprised of DJs, bands and singers from around the world who perform to aid children with life threatening medical illnesses.

A dedicated animal rights supporter and canine lover, Alana performed at the 3rd Annual ASPCA Rock n’ Roll LA Benefit in October. The ASPCA works to rescue animals from abuse, pass humane laws and share resources with shelters nationwide.

Recently endorsed by Daisy Rock Girl Guitars and C. Luce clothing, Alana also scored two 2013 Hollywood Music In Media Award (HMMA) nominations for “Dream Out Loud” (Best Pop Song) and “Shadow Dancer” (Best Vocal – Female). In 2011, she received two HMMA nominations—Best Pop Song (“Synchronize”) and Best Music Video for “Butterflies.”
