Acclaimed singer-songwriter recently scored two 2012 Hollywood Music in Media (HMMA) nominations for her U.S. adult contemporary chart single ‘Your One and Only’ and ‘Lola La Lo’

Ottawa-based Pop diva Lola Spriggs (www.lolaspriggs.com) is rounding out a hugely successful 2012 with high profile gigs at two prominent hometown hotspots.

The multi-talented performer is set to play at 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 8 atClub Obsession (1575 Saint Laurent Blvd., Ottawa, Ont). The following Friday, December 14, she hits the Mercury Lounge (56 Byward Market Sq., Ottawa, Ont.) at 8 p.m.

Spriggs recently earned her third and fourth Hollywood Music in Media (HMMA) nominations for her latest pop/rock single “Your One and Only” (in the Best Adult Contemporary/AAA category) and “Lola La Lo” (Best Pop Song). Lola will attend the 5^th annual event in Hollywood, California November 15, 2012 atThe Fonda Theatre.

Released in late 2011, “Your One and Only” broke into the Top 20 on the U.S.FMQB Adult Contemporary chart earlier this year. In 2010, Spriggs received nods for Best Pop Song (“I Wanna Love You”) and Best Adult Contemporary/AAA Song (“Nobody But You”).

“I Wanna Love You” received prominent mention in Peter Simpson’s The Big Beat List: 10 Local Songs From 2010, which was published in the Ottawa Citizen. Simpson praised the track’s effervescence and wrote that it could make the “Ottawa area single mom a pop star.” “Nobody But You” also placed in the Top 100 on the U.S. FMQB AC 2010 Year End Chart, just ahead of superstars Uncle Kracker/Kid Rock, Michael Bublé and Miley Cyrus.
