HOLLYWOOD VIPS GATHER TO WITNESS THE FUTURE

OF CINEMA AT PRESTIGIOUS INVITE-ONLY EVENT

“A QUANTUM LEAP TO 4K”

The Hollywood Music In Media Awards (HMMA) (www.hmmawards.com) and Quantum Media Visions (www.quantummv.com) present a special industry preview showcasing the future of HD movie projection soon to be known as “4K” on October 22 at the Los Angeles Film School.

Quantum Media Visions, proprietor of this advanced image delivery system, will present the most defined big screen image projection ever developed, which is literally a “Quantum Leap” in picture resolution. This technology is not currently available in the consumer market, or even at commercial movie theaters. The picture quality is five times more defined than Blu-Ray, resulting in an image that can only be compared to real life. The simple math: Blue-Ray is 2 million pixels per frame, 4K is 10 million pixels per frame. The picture almost appears to be 3-Dimensional (without glasses), creating a level of reality and color vibrancy that are absolutely breathtaking. Motion pictures, music videos, video games and other visual mediums will soon benefit from this new discovery.  Enhancing the visual spectacle will be the Quantum Media Visions 7.0 custom surround sound experience.

This invite-only, RSVP event will take place at the renowned Los Angeles Film School 2B screening room. Approximately 200 directors, producers, studio marketing executives, video game developers, cinematographers, movie trailer producers, celebrities and other VIP’s in film, television and music will be present. The event will feature a hosted bar, tray-passed Hors-d’oeuvres, red carpet, step & repeat and interactive games. The 10 to 15 minute 4K visual montage will be shown at least three times throughout the two hour event so all attendees may experience this amazing presentation.

Debney, considered one of the most sought after composers in Hollywood, and who has established himself as a formidable film composer across a wide range of genres, has worked repeatedly with several noted directors, including Garry Marshall on The Princess Diaries, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement and Raising Helen; Robert Rodriguez on Spy Kids, Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams, Sin City and The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D; Jon Favreau on Elf and Zathura; and Tom Shadyac on Liar Liar, Dragonfly and Bruce Almighty. Debney displayed his ability in the dramatic genre with the film The Passion of the Christ, which earned him an Oscar nomination.

In addition to the prestigious Academy nomination, John Debney has garnered 18 awards to date for his work in film and television.  Additional film score credits include Spiderman 2, Spiderman 3, The Ant Bully, Chicken Little, Meet Dave, Swing Vote, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor and Hannah Montana: The Movie.  Current film projects include A Thousand Words, Old Dogs, and Sin City 2 & 3, and one of the most anticipated films of 2010, Iron Man 2.  John Debney composer, conductor, musician and valued collaborator will be the first to receive the Hollywood Music In Media Awards’ Outstanding Career Achievement for Film Composing.

Legendary guitarist and songwriter, Dave Mason will receive his Outstanding Career Achievement honor during the HMMA produced Music In Media Interactive Conference (MIMICON) on Saturday, November 21, 2009.  The award will be presented during the MIMICON keynote address luncheon, taking place in the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel ballroom.

Dave Mason has enjoyed a career that has spanned over 37 years, performing to sold-out audiences with memorable bands Traffic and Fleetwood Mac, as well as recording with some of music’s legendary icons, including Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, George Harrison and the Rolling Stones. He has penned and recorded enduring gold and platinum songs, including “Feeling Alright”, “Let It Flow” and his smash-hit single, “We Just Disagree”.  In 2004 Dave Mason and the band Traffic received one of the highest honors that can be bestowed to a music artist when they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.  Mason is touring in support of his current LP titled 24 Letters ~ 12 Notes through the summer and fall of 2009.

Mason has gone beyond being heard in music, by becoming an influential figure and advocate for the foundation Working Vessels for Vets. His dedication to raising awareness and funding through his shows, and his work in the media, will continue to have an impact on our heroes returning from foreign conflicts.
