AVAILABLE TO COMMENT ON THE 7TH ANNIVERSARY OF RAPPER TUPAC’S DEATH
WHO: Record/film producer Quincy D. Jones III (QD3), whose sister was engaged to rap star Tupac when he was gunned down on September 7, 1996 in Las Vegas. The rapper eventually died on Saturday, September 13. Jones worked on several music projects with Tupac and he is part of a new DVD called BEEF (release date September 30TH via Image Entertainment), the definitive look in the deep and harsh world of high profile “beefs” among such artists as 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Ja Rule and Nas.
Jones’ motivation for his film BEEF is to explore the reasons for these situations that can lead to death & destruction and how to keep them from escalating in the future. During the production of his previous film, Thug Angel, which dealt with the life & death of Tupac, Jones discovered the numerous “beefs” that exist in the rap music world which motivated him to create BEEF.
Jones is available for interviews to discuss the impact that Tupac has had on Rap music and current state of Rap “beefs.”
