There’s no stopping emerging pop singer Lola Spriggs from making her way to Hollywood. The Canadian-based songtress has racked up a second Hollywood Music In Media Award (HMMA) nomination for her latest single, “I Wanna Love You” in the Best Pop Song category. Spriggs recently premiered the music video on YouTube directed by James Campbell.
She also picked up a nomination for her FMQB-AC hit and title track to her new EP, “Nobody But You” for Best Adult Contemporary/AAA Song. The infectious tune put her into exclusive company with heavy hitters such like Rob Thomas, Daughtry, Michael Buble, Colbie Caillat, John Mayer, Lady Antebellum, Air Supply and emerging star Adam Lambert. She’s also in rotation in the UK and in Australia.
Lola stands out as the only Canadian nominee in both the Pop and Adult Contemporary/AAA categories.
Happening on November 18, 2010 at the world-famous Hollywood & Highland Kodak Theatre complex in Hollywood, Calif., the HMMAs recognize and honor the music of visual mediums, the talented individuals responsible for it, and the music of both mainstream and independent artists from around the globe.
The singer has been grabbing the media spotlight with profiles by Reuters, Orleans EMC, The Ottawa Sun, Orleans Online, MuchMusic USA and A Celebration Of Women. She also made a recent TV appearance on the local cable show Rogers Daytime.
Spriggs is also gearing up for her official EP release show in Canada next month, details will soon be announced.
