The son of legendary comedian Buddy Hackett carries on the Hackett legacy as he reopens The Riviera Comedy Club, but this time, it will be ‘Presented by Sandy Hackett’. The club, opening Thursday, February 10, will be run by Hackett, producer and star (as Joey Bishop) of “Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show,” which also appears at The Riviera Hotel and Casino in Le Bistro Theatre. Hackett has launched and run numerous comedy clubs over the years around the country, including Laughlin, Flagstaff and Los Angeles.

In addition to bringing renowned comics from all over the country—many of whom have appeared on HBO, Showtime, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” or “Late Show With David Letterman”—there will be regular appearances weekly by Hackett as well as his “Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show” co-star Doug Starks, who plays Sammy Davis, Jr., Starks has opened for such musical performers as Julio Iglesias and Smokey Robinson.  Other regular performers will include standup comic Tom Wallek and puppeteer/comedian Jerry Halliday.

“We’ve been having such great success with ‘Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show’ at the Riviera and when the opportunity arose, I thought it would be a great idea to get back into the comedy club business,” says Hackett. “We’re looking forward to keeping the hotel’s great tradition of comedy alive and offering a great nightcap for those who have enjoyed our ‘Rat Pack’ show.”

In the Fall of 2010, the critically acclaimed “Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show” celebrated its one year anniversary with its launch at the Riviera. The Riviera is rich with Rat Pack history as all of its legendary members headlined there over the years. The hotel was one of the big casinos the Rat Pack “HIT” in the 1960 film “Ocean’s Eleven.”

“Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show” produced by Hackett and Lisa Dawn Miller, runs five nights a week (Sundays and Mondays are dark) in the prime 7 p.m. time slot. Ticket prices start at $49.95 (General Admission), $69.95 (Preferred) and $89.95 (VIP) plus taxes and fees.
