Extending their San Francisco engagement through June by popular demand, “Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show” is continuing to make a splash on the city’s theater and nightlife scene with rave reviews, appearances, and interviews.
On Tuesday, May 25, ‘Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show’ shows their support for the Richmond/Ermet AIDS Foundation with a special appearance during the Help is on the Way XVI kick-off party. The event begins at 6 p.m. at the Caldwell Snyder Gallery (341 Sutter St., San Francisco, CA).
San Francisco’s restaurant and bar employees are invited to receive a special discount on Saturday shows on June 5, 12 and 19 for $20 off tickets to see the hit production of “Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show.” In addition, they will receive a free drink coupon for each ticket purchased. To take advantage of the promotion, please call the San Francisco Marines Memorial Theatre at 415-771-6900 and mention the word ‘MARTINI.’
Continuing to making their way around town, a few Rat Pack cast members, along with Producer Lisa Dawn Miller, who portrays “Franks’ One Love,” made an appearance on KRON’s “Saturday Morning News” with Jan Wahl on May 8. Lisa, a multi-talented singer/producer/writer, will take the stage at The Rrazz Room at Hotel Nikko (222 Mason St., San Francisco, CA) on Saturday, June 12 at 10 p.m. for a special, one night only performance: “Miller Sings Miller.”
“Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show” has earned outstanding reviews since the show debuted in April. Albert Goodwyn of the San Francisco Examiner also recently gave the show his seal of approval. He comments, “A devilishly good show…The interpretations by the four actors capture the stage essences of the Pack members in a way that is eerily supernatural.”
The cast portrayals also earned praise from Pat Craig of the Contra Costa Times who commented, “(Sandy Hackett’s) Rat Pack Show’ effortlessly captures Sinatra, Martin and Davis.” Craig continues, “An extremely strong and hugely entertaining show…with a remarkable band.”
Produced by Sandy Hackett – son of the late, great comedian and actor Buddy Hackett - and Lisa Dawn Miller - daughter of legendary songwriter Ron Miller – “Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show” features the classic songs everyone knows and loves such as “For Once in My Life,” “My Way,” “Mack the Knife,” plus original, never-before-heard songs written by the late Miller.
Appropriately, the Marines Memorial Theatre is one of the few venues in San Francisco that allows patrons to bring a cocktail to their seat—to enjoy a drink, “Rat Pack” style while watching the show. Tickets start at $49 and are available now at the Marines Memorial Theatre box office, by phone at 415-771-6900 and on the web at marinesmemorialtheatre.com.
