Indie pop mastermind Seth Swirsky unveiled his hit documentary “Beatles Stories” to sold out audiences June 4-5 at the inaugural Gold Coast International Film Festival (GCIFF) on Long Island’s North Shore.

After an engaging Q&A with Swirsky, he caught up with May Pang, (John Lennon’s girlfriend during his “Lost Weekend” period in L.A. after his split with Yoko Ono) who was at the screening and one of the nearly 60 interviews in the 82 minute movie.

The week prior, the Abbey Road on the River festival in Louisville, Ky. highlighted Swirsky’s film of untold Fab Four stories with five screenings. “Beatles Stories” also screened to packed houses at the Newport Beach Film Festival in April after making its World Premiere at the European Independent Film Festival in Paris on April 3.

HollywoodRevealed.com raves: “Beatles Stories” is ‘A must-see film for anyone who loves the Beatles, or for anyone who wished they could have been there in the swinging ‘60s, living the life that so few got to experience.’

Renowned film director Cameron Crowe says, “This film is fantastic, so from the heart and so wildly revealing. An epic and timeless masterwork.”

The diverse array of subjects who lent their joyful recollections to “Beatles Stories” is a testament to Swirsky’s passion and persistance. Among them are cultural icons such as: Sir Ben Kingsley, Davy Jones, Graham Nash, Smokey Robinson, Brian Wilson, Jon Voight, former First Daughter, Luci Baines Johnson, Donovan, Henry Winkler, Ray Manzarek, Art Garfunkel, Peter Noone and Susanna Hoffs among many others.

A self-proclaimed “Manic Expressive” Swirsky has enjoyed a lengthy career as an award-winning songwriter and author of three bestselling books on baseball.

On June 21, 2011, he and music partner Mike Ruekberg –better known as The Red Button– are slated to release their second album,  As Far As Yesterday Goes. They scored huge commercial and critical success with their first record, She’s About to Cross My Mind, with it’s refreshingly retro, British Invasion-influenced sound. That album featured the song “Cruel Girl,” which reached #1 on Billboard’s “Coolest Song of the Week” chart.
