Which Enters The Top 30 FMQB AC Charts

Emerging singer/songwriter Sharif Iman has come a long way from his days of having not much more than his guitar. The fearless “chocolate soul child” entered the FMQB AC Chart at #29 (with a bullet) this week with his inspiring soul-rock track, “Shine,” joining mainstream recording artists including Rob Thomas, Colbie Calliat and Taylor Swift on the FMQB Top 30 AC Charts.

Iman (pronounced Ee-mon) has also garnered a Hollywood Music In Media Award (HMMA) nomination for Best Adult Contemporary/AAA Song for the uplifting title track from his debut album Shine, which is set for release on October 26.

On November 18, the Nashville-based rocker, along with other nominees will contend for top honors when the HMMAs come to Hollywood, taking place at the world-famous Hollywood and Highland Kodak Theater Complex. Now in its third year, the HMMAs recognize excellence in film, television and other visual mediums as well as mainstream and independent artists.

Coinciding with the official album release, Shine will be featured on AOL Music’s CD Listening Party from October 25-November 1.
