ON THE FMQB ADULT CONTEMPORARY RADIO CHART

Christa Borden’s “Empty Bottles” keep filling up with more exciting news, as the confessional singer songwriter’s infectious debut single leaps this week into the Top 15 on the FMQB adult contemporary radio chart.

Borden (www.christaborden.com) may have written the track from her album I Rhyme With Orange about one of the darker periods of her life, but everything’s on the upswing as it continues to enjoy the company of some of today’s biggest music superstars.

At #15, the song charts ahead of Kris Allen, Rob Thomas, Uncle Kracker and Bon Jovi and is just behind Bad Boy Leroy, Colbie Caillat, Lady Antebellum and Daughtry.

“Empty Bottles” is on the rise on the Hot AC charts as well, meaning there will be a lot to celebrate when she takes the stage at this year’s SXSW in the singer/songwriter portion of the Sennheiser Speakeasy Rooftop Party.

The event takes place the evening of Thursday, March 18 at the Speakeasy, located at 412D Congress Avenue at 4th Street in downtown Austin. The party will be jammed pack with today’s leading industry music supervisors.

Earlier this month, Borden’s new video for “Empty Bottles” premiered on the hip outlet Justin TV on March 1. In conjunction with this viewing, she participated in a live webcast to chat with fans and first time viewers about the video and her album.

With 40 million unique visitors per month, Justin.tv is a website that allows users to produce and watch live streaming video. Like YouTube, Justin.tv user accounts are called “channels,” and users are encouraged to broadcast a wide variety of user-generated live video content, called “broadcasts.”

On March 6, “Empty Bottles” was the feature video of the day on AOL
Music, and Borden also recently received product support by favorite music industry cosmetic line MAC Cosmetics.
