TEEN POP DYNAMO ALANA LEE
LANDS THE COVER OF TEEN GRAFFITI MAGAZINE’S FIRST ISSUE OF 2014
The Multi-talented Songstress Caps an Amazing Year of New Music, Performances, Red Carpet Appearances and Endorsements as she Gears Up to Record New Music and Release her Debut EP
Capping an incredible year of releasing two singles “Dream Out Loud” and “Perfect Storm” along with numerous performances, red carpet appearances and endorsements, teen pop dynamo Alana Lee (www.alanaleemusic.net) shows no signs of slowing down in 2014, kicking off the year with a cover story in Teen Graffiti Magazine’s January/February issue.
The poignant music video for “Dream Out Loud” was named one of the Top 5 Most Powerful Music Videos of 2013 by Markos Papadatos of the Digital Journal: http://www.digitaljournal.com/entertainment/op-ed-5-of-the-most-powerful-music-videos-of-2013-that-are-a-must-see/article/364911
As she finishes recording her EP to be released in Spring 2014, Alana takes on a new endeavor when she competes in the Miss Yorba Linda Outstanding Teen Program on February 8. The program is a scholarship based pageant and recognizes teens that stand out with regard to community service and involvement, current issues awareness, talent, poise, etc. The platform that Alana chose to support is her favorite charity Miracles For Kids (www.miraclesforkids.org) to bring more awareness to the program. Tickets to the event may be purchased at http://www.missplacentiapageant.org/program_locations.html (enter Alana’s name when adding to the checkout cart).
In addition to her ongoing work with Miracles For Kids, Alana demonstrated her philanthropic side during several events last year at a local Christmas toy giveaway event presented by EZWAYTV and headlining the “CPC Annual Theatrical Concert 4A Cause,” a benefit held in November for children with cancer from Miller’s Children’s Hospital at 333 Live, Los Angeles’ largest mega-club/concert venue.
She also performed in Tunes for Tots’ “The Best in the West 2013” show last fall at The House of Blues in West Hollywood to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a non-profit organization comprised of DJs, bands and singers from around the world who perform to aid children with life threatening medical illnesses.
A huge animal lover, Alana performed at the 3rd Annual ASPCA Rock n’ Roll LA Benefit in October. The ASPCA works to rescue animals from abuse, pass humane laws and share resources with shelters nationwide.
Now endorsed by Daisy Rock Girl Guitars and C. Luce clothing, Alana also scored two 2013 Hollywood Music In Media Award (HMMA) nominations for “Dream Out Loud” (Best Pop Song) and “Shadow Dancer” (Best Vocal – Female). In 2011, she received two HMMA nominations—Best Pop Song (“Synchronize”) and Best Music Video for “Butterflies.”
