OC’s RISING TEEN POP SONGSTRESS ALANA LEE IS PROFILED BY MEGA MUSIC SITE, IHEARTRADIO.COM
Emerging pop singer Alana Lee (www.alanaleemusic.net) is kicking off 2012 on a high note, earning a coveted artist profile on Clear Channel’s iheartradio.com, for its New! Discover & Uncover section, visited by millions of music seeking fans each month.
The Orange County, Calif.-based artist has been grabbing attention with her single “Synchronize,” song is available for digital download on AlanaLeeMusic.net and on iTunes. An acoustic version of the song can also be viewed on YouTube. Alana’s viral frenzy initially sparked on YouTube with her debut music video for “Butterflies” (surpassing 12 million views and counting), and has since been signed to SoCal based label 37 Records headed by longtime music veteran, Steven McClintock.
Alana recently appeared on Young Icons—a nationally syndicated television program about young people changing the world, produced by Byron Allen’s Entertainment Studios. The songstress also earned two 2011 Hollywood Music In Media Awards (HMMA) nominations including Best Pop Song for “Synchronize” and Best Music Video for her hit clip, “Butterflies.”
Jason Dowd of the online entertainment magazine The Expressionist recently took notice of the young talent and praised “I can predict we will see a whole lot more of this young, talented artist in the future. In fact, don’t be surprised if you see Alana someday accepting her first Grammy Award.” Alana has also recently been spotlighted by OC Weekly, OC Music Scene, Finding-Cupid with David Cruz, American Perspective, PopYOUlarity.com, Suite101.com and PBS (KOCE-TV)
A preview for Alana’s third single “This Is Me” can now be viewed on YouTube, revealing a slide show of personal photos she’s collected over the years. The clip has already garnered more than 6,000 views within two weeks of posting.
The multi-talented 14-year-old also has a background in acting and recently spread her wings onto the big screen with a featured role in “The Measure of A Man.” The feature film was written and directed by Elizabeth Waite and has received numerous accolades on the independent film circuit, and is earning strong reviews including a nod from Indie Film Review. Alana also participated in a PSA for BootsUp.org for their campaign on High School Dropout Prevention.
