THEORY OF FLIGHT:  LAS VEGAS’ FANS FAVORITE EMERGING ROCK BAND GAINS A NOMINATION FOR HOLLYWOOD MUSIC IN MEDIA AWARDS (HMMA) WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY REACHING ONE MILLION VIEWS ON THEIR MYSPACE

Las Vegas rising rockers Theory of Flight (www.theoryofflightmusic.com) was recently nominated for Hollywood Music in Media Awards, a.k.a the HMMA’s   (www.hmmawards.com) for Best Rock category for their up tempo, screaming-to-be-a-future Billboard Top 100 hit, “Can’t You See.” The HMMA will take place on Thursday, November 19 at The Highlands in the Kodak Theatre complex in Hollywood, CA. The red carpet event will feature live performances of today’s top indie artists from around the world, an award ceremony plus a catered VIP reception by renowned chef Wolfgang Puck. Track number eight off the band’s highly anticipated debut album Within Reach, “Can’t You See” is an intense song about a lover that is losing the one they want, therefore, they divulge their profound feelings before the relationship is completely lost.

To put icing on the HMMA nomination cake, concurrently the band is pleased to announce they have reached more than one million views on their MySpace page, www.myspace.com/theoryofflight702.  New music off the Within Reach album, slated to release fall 2009, was added and within two days had gained 5,000 plays.

After the success with the band’s 2008 EP, A Brilliant Display, the band joined forces with Grammy nominated Los Angeles sound engineer and producer Mark Needham (The Killers, Fleetwood Mac and Chris Isaak) to help mix the 12 track debut album. On September 4 at Noon PST, Theory of Flight will exclusively release their new music video and first single “Set the Night on Fire” on their website www.theoryofflightmusic.com.   Faithful and future fans will also get a chance to check out the band perform live at their day-long Within Reach record release event taking place on Saturday, October 17 at the Town Square Las Vegas (www.townsquarelasvegas.com).  More details to be announced soon.

GIFTED ROCKERS THEORY OF FLIGHT SET TO HEADLINE ATHOLLYWOOD MUSIC IN MEDIA AWARDS’ (HMMA) SHOWCASE EVENT AT LOS ANGELES LANDMARK THE MINT ON AUGUST 18.

WHO: Las Vegas based indie rock band Theory of Flight (www.theoryoflightmusic.com) will headline at the popular L.A. music venue The Mint (www.themintla.com) on Tuesday, August 18 for Hollywood Music In Media Awards(HMMA) (www.hmmawards.com) showcase. Other acts scheduled to perform include Michel Harding, Jason Charles Miller (lead singer of Godhead) and Michael Mulder.   The showcase gives selected indie artists a rare opportunity to perform before industry professionals and HMMA’s executive producers, whose top picks are then invited to play the night of the award show on Sunday, November 22 at The Highlands in the Kodak Theatre complex in Hollywood.  HMMA’s red carpet event will feature live music performances, award presentations and reception catered by Wolfgang Puck.

Theory of Flight had amazing success with their 2008 EP, A Brilliant Display, gaining them packed house performances at Las Vegas’ House of Blues and Jillian’s, plus air play on Vegas’ alternative stations AREA 108 FM, KOMP 92.3 and X107.5 FM.  The band headed back into the studio and now is gearing up to release their 12 track debut album Within Reach this fall. The guys called on distinguished sound engineer Mark Needham (The Killers, Fleetwood Mac and Chris Isaak) to help them re-master five tracks off their last EP and seven new tracks created for the debut album.   The group recently shot the music video for their first single off the album, “Set the Night on Fire,” now in post production and slated for a late summer premiere.

RISING ROCKERS THEORY OF FLIGHT SHOOTS THEIR FIRST MUSIC VIDEO FROM THEIR ANTICIPATED DEBUT ALBUM ‘WITHIN REACH,’ FOLLOWED-UP WITH A PERFORMANCE AT THE HIP VENUE, LAS VEGAS’ HOUSE OF BLUES

WHO: Las Vegas based rock band, Theory of Flight, (www.theoryofflightmusic.com) is ready to take off again!  With the group’s success of their six-track EP title, Brilliant Display, which received radio airplay on Area 108 FM, KOMP 92.3 and X107.5 FM, the six members went back to the drawing board and came up with their first full length album, Within Reach.  To help bring the album to the next level, the band called upon L.A. producer Mark Needham (The Killers, Fleetwood Mac, and Chris Isaak) to help make that dream a reality.  Within Reach due out later this fall 2009 is combination of re-master tracks from the band’s original EP along with some intriguing new tracks created.
