LAS VEGAS BASED ROCK POWERHOUSE

THEORY OF FLIGHT

READY TO “SET THE NIGHT ON FIRE” WITH

LIVE PERFORMANCE AND EXCLUSIVE AFTER

PARTY CELEBRATING THE RELEASE OF

THEIR DEBUT ALBUM WITHIN REACH,

OCTOBER 16 AT VEGAS’ TOWN SQUARE PARK

Rising Las Vegas-based rockers Theory of Flight (theoryofflightmusic.com) are fired up to release their anticipated debut album Within Reach with an explosive performance event at Town Square Las Vegas Park (www.townsquarelasvegas.com) on Friday, October 16 from 4-8 p.m.

The free public event offers raffle prizes to raise money for a charity close to the band’s heart, Children’s Miracle Network (www.childrensmiraclenetwork.org).  Debi Walsh, Director of the organization commented, “Children’s Miracle Network is excited to be involved with Theory of Flight. The band’s dedication to our mission allows us to continue providing hope, healing, and the best medical care for children and families in Southern Nevada.”

State of the art staging and a slick set design will be provided by Walden Media Productions (www.waldenmedialv.com).  Additional event sponsors include Red Rock Harley Davidson (www.redrockharley.com), MG Studios (www.mgstudios.com), and Clear Channel Outdoor Las Vegas (www.clearchanneloutdoor.com).

A celebratory after party will follow at 9:30 p.m. at Las Vegas hotspot Blue Martini Lounge (www.bluemartinilounge.com) sponsored by No More Starving Artists (www.nomosa.com). NOMOSA is an ecommerce and distribution platform designed exclusively for independent artists, which Theory of Flight is proud to be a highlighted artist with.

Theory of Flight formed in 2007 by front man Beau Hodges, lead guitarist Vince Casas and bassist Joey McMahon– the three elements who envisioned a six-piece ensemble from the very start. Eventually they added Tyler Williams on drums, Stephen Goodrum on rhythm guitar and John Colombo on the keys.  The rest is history. Since then, Theory of Flight has been making a name for themselves in their humble abode of Las Vegas, but national attention is now “within reach” and they are grabbing hold of it.

Within Reach was mixed by Grammy nominated producer Mark Needham (The Killers, My Chemical Romance, Fleetwood Mac).

The hometown heroes recently won first place at CBS Radio’s pop station, Mix 94.1’s, Battle for Bite Las Vegas on September 23 at the House of Blues Las Vegas. Their electric performance wowed the judges, landing them a featured spot at the Bite of Las Vegas Food and Music Festival (www.mix941.fm) on Saturday, October 17 at Desert Breeze Park. Fans can now hear Theory of Flight on regular rotation on Mix 94.1 or request their music by calling (702) 364-9400.

The band headlined for the Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) (www.hmmawards.com) showcase August 18 in Los Angeles earning them a nomination for their rock ballad “Can’t You See” in the rock category. This red carpet event takes place on Thursday, November 19 at The Highlands located in the Kodak Theater Complex in Hollywood.
