Theory of Flight wrapped up 2009 with a Thanksgiving weekend performance at the United Football League’s (UFL) championship game, along with the honor to open up for major recording artist Everclear at the Hard Rock Strip Hotel, and Columbia Record’s Train at Caesar’s Palace Pure nightclub in Vegas.

In February, the band releases their single, Set The Night On Fire to radio, from their highly anticipated full-length debut album Within Reach (Blue Beet/Edgeware Records/EMI), dropping April 20. Within Reach’s original mixing was done by renowned L.A. producer, Mark Needham (Fleetwood Mac, Chris Issak, and The Killers), and produced by Grammy winning duo Bob Cutarella (The Police, Elton John, and Cyndi Lauper) and Fran Carthcart (Sting, Sevendust, and Beyoncé) of NYC’s East Side Studios.

Theory of Flight makes media appearances and live performances, come February 2, the band will give a live performance on Fox 5 San Diego to promote their upcoming show at O’Connell’s. TOF will head to Austin for South By Southwest (SXSW), performing at the SXSW Music Stimulus 2 Party located at The Parish, Friday, March 19. The band will rock out the day before, on Austin’s NBC KXAN’s Noon segment, for an electric, live TV performance during the festival.

Airing this spring, in 140 major U.S. cities, is a taped acoustic set and interview the band did for hip national TV weekly music segment, Beta Records TV, at their studios in Hollywood.

Theory of Flight was formed in 2007 by front man Beau Hodges, lead guitarist Vince Casas and bassist Joey McMahon. Vince had the vision of making TOF a six-piece unit from the start, and soon added Tyler Williams (drums), Stephen Goodrum (rhythm guitar) and John Colombo (key) to the fold.
