TORONTO-BORN, L.A. BASED COUNTRY ARTIST BRANDON JAMES DEBUTS ‘DOWN IN THE SAND’ ON AOL MUSIC’S CD LISTENING PARTY THIS WEEK

The Multi-Talented Artist Debuts His Four-Track EP,
Produced By Renowned Mixer/Engineer Skip Saylor

Toronto-born, L.A.-based singer/songwriter Brandon James Down in the Sand EP is featured on this week’s AOL Music Listening Party running through May 29 alongside popular acts such as Brad Paisley, Glee: The Music, NKTOBSB and Nick Carter. The online spotlight will give new listeners a free preview of James’ cool “West Coast Country” sound.

James’ four-track EP was produced by renowned mixer, engineer and recording studio owner Skip Saylor (Dwight Yoakum, Tom Petty, Bon Jovi, k.d. lang). The album’s title track was “top-rated” and made its radio debut on The Ranch (theranch.fm KKUS 104.1, KFRO 1370, KCUL 1410).

The music video for James’ first single “Down in the Sand (With Me)” captures the laid-back west coast vibe, depicting him and his band enjoying a day in the sun at the Santa Monica Pier. The video is directed by Christian Laursen (Embrace Films) and can be viewed on YouTube. The music video premiered on May 21 at the New Media Film Festival in Los Angeles.

James was recently profiled by Sidebeat Music on ActorsEntertainment.com to talk about his highly-anticipated country debut and recent residency at Harper’s in Tarzana, Calif.

James sees himself as something of an ambassador for the likeable, accessible “West Coast Country” sound. His mission: to win over more fans by representing for all the country fans out on the West Coast.
