VapeRev: California Assembly Member Cristina Garcia Visits Fast Growing E-Cig Retailer

VAPEREV INVITES DISTRICT 58 CALIFORNIA ASSEMBLY MEMBER CRISTINA GARCIA TO LEARN HOW THE FAST GROWING COMPANY PLAYS A ROLE IN THEIR COMMUNITY – AND IS CHANGING THE LIVES OF THOUSANDS OF EX-SMOKERS WORLDWIDE

LOS ANGELES- VapeRev (www.vaperev.com), one of the nation’s leading forces in the fast growing global shift from traditional cigarettes to vaping, recently had the honor of having District 58 California Assembly Member Cristina Garcia visit its Cerritos, Calif.-based store and facility to demonstrate how they are playing a role in and impacting their community – while also changing the lives of ex-smokers worldwide.

“I am exploring the idea of authoring consumer protection legislation in the vaping industry and this educational visit was very informative and a good first step in understanding the industry,” Garcia said. “I hope to work with the industry and all the stakeholders to work on legislation that will keep consumers safe,” Garcia concluded.

Chief Communications Officer Amber Lee gave Garcia a tour of VapeRev’s retail store and explained how the company has helped thousands of people make the switch from smoking to vaping.

Lee says, “She was surprised to learn that all of our flavors come with the option of zero nicotine. I explained that we encourage users to gradually decrease their nicotine strength so they can achieve vaping with zero nicotine, or no longer vaping at all, without the desire to smoke again.”

Lee adds that Garcia was pleased to learn that VapeRev offers health insurance, dental coverage, vision, life insurance and a 401K plan to all employees, including hourly employees. Lee informed the assemblywoman of VapeRev’s distribution company VR Distribution, adding that the company contributes a significant amount of tax revenue to the city of Cerritos.

“Cristina left saying that she entered our store not knowing much about vaping, and now has learned a lot more about our unique industry,” she says. “We are so grateful for her visit and appreciate that she was proactive and willing to learn about our company and its contributions to the community. We feel that her newfound knowledge of the vaping industry can have positive ramifications on a national level.”

Cristina Garcia was elected in November 2012 to represent and serve California’s 58th Assembly District, which includes the cities of Artesia, Bellflower, Bell Gardens, Cerritos, Commerce, Downey, Montebello, Pico Rivera and Norwalk. She Co-Chairs the Assembly Legislative Ethics Committee and is also a member of the Human Services, Judiciary, Natural Resources and Utilities and Commerce Committees. Recently, Cristina became part of Speaker Toni Atkins leadership team, when she was named as Assistant Whip to the Assembly Democratic Caucus.
