THE WORLD OF ART SHOWCASE DEBUTED AT THE WYNN LAS VEGAS, DRAWING THE MOST RECOGNIZED CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS FROM AROUND THE GLOBE
Making its debut at the renowned Wynn Resort in Las Vegas, the World of Art Showcase brought together the world’s most recognized contemporary painters and sculptors under one roof for an unprecedented exhibition held December 20-22.
Among the distinguished artists who had master works on display were H.R. Giger, Nelson Shanks, Jota Leal, Daniel E. Greene, Leon Oks, Max Ginsburg, Wolfgang Widmoser, Cesar Santos, Lauri Blank, Vladimir Kush, Ben Joyce, James Van Fossan and Christopher Weed to name a few.
Also on display were rare works entitled “Horse and Rider,” created from a bronze casting of a 500-year-old da Vinci beeswax sculpture unveiled by Las Vegas-based Art encounter.
During the three-day event, COO David Goldstein of Jerry’s Artarama–one of the world’s most beloved art supply companies–stopped into KLAS-TV News Channel 8 with artist Andy Russell to share sample artwork and discuss show highlights. Russell’s artwork also appeared in a feature story in the Las Vegas Review Journal.
PBS Vegas also attended to film the event and art lovers can expect to see the World of Art Showcase on their new show “artScene” in March. The show will be available to 26 different PBS stations nationally.
